Exceptional Stay in Grimsstadir
It was an exceptional stay. We stayed there 3 nights; thought that after 7-8 days of a marathon in Iceland, it could be great stop over. I'm quite happy that we chose this place. Sikka & Prye sharing their extra 2 rooms with travelers. They are lovely couple living in the same premises for a long time. It was quite enjoyment when you listen their stories of farming, old times & winters. They are very welcoming & heartily people. My wife was a bit sick; they even made a soup for her. About the accommodation; rooms are compact. Beds are comfy. The house is pretty clean & well maintained. Shower is also nice. The house has outdoor terrace & winter balcony which has great views at sunset. Breakfast is great. If i visit North Iceland again, i'll definitely stay there.
There is an other guesthouse (Grimsstunga) very close by; people are mixing these 2 places a lot. There could be signs more visible. FYI reviewers; Blue/Black roof is Grimsstadir. Red roof one is Grimsstunga.

Amzing place! Cute and lovely couple that welcome you in their home, highly recommended!
This is someone’s house, not a hotel, it is so lovely! The owners are extremely kind, and they welcome you in their own home, literally! The food is homemade for breakfast, and they have the biggest heart, very cute couple.

Great place!
We loved staying here for two nights. Nice hosts. We were allowed to use the kitchen. We agreed on a time.
Thin wall to the adjacent guestroom. You might get unlucky with noisy guests.

A beautiful home into which the lovely lady welcomes you with a smile, shares her home products for a delicious fullfilling breakfast. Wonderfull clean bathroom, cosy warm room and beds. A great way to learn about life in Iceland through conversing with the host.
