Stories and spirit. Really appreciate the quote in the wall art, it is inspiring and we feel the connection there. It is very nice for the host to share local’s recommendations of places near by to visit. Lots of crafts to admire in the house. Very clean and comfortable beds with cute wool arts in the bedroom.
The grass tool in the bedroom is a bit intimidating for young children on the first sight before they understand what they are being used for. But the illustration besides it helps to remove the worries. :) We noticed some natural smell from the house from nature that our cotton fabrics captured as well.

The personal touches, the owners made it a true Icelandic experience. The place was very spacious for four people and the breakfast was fabulous (even if a little do it yourself)

De ligging vlak bij het meer is mooi. De eigenaresse is een vriendelijke vrouw en reageert snel en uitgebreid op vragen. Ze heeft haar best gedaan om het huisje knus in te richten.
De wasdroger doet het prima.
In de omgeving zijn mooie natuurgebieden om te bezichtigen.
De verhouding tussen prijs en kwaliteit is helaas erg scheef en de kosten zijn buitensporig hoog voor wat je krijgt. Inmiddels hebben we hier al een stuk of zeven verblijven gehad, dus voldoende vergelijkingsmateriaal.
Hoewel de woning op het eerste gezicht een knusse en gezellige indruk maakt, is deze gedateerd en vertoont deze gebreken in de afwerking. Bovendien hangt er een muffe geur in de woning die niet overeenkomt met zwavel, wat ik persoonlijk als het grootste nadeel ervoer.
De afwerking van de woning voldoet niet aan onze standaarden. Een renovatie zou wenselijk zijn.
