Hale Leialoha is a roomy 1,000 sq ft custom built cottage with a large covered deck for relaxation and outdoor dining. As our guest you will enjoy the modern finish and conveniences amidst the casual feel of old Hawaiiana with tropical furnishings throughout. This was a great location for exploring Maui. We don't enjoy staying in busy resort areas so this was a perfect, quiet option. Our group of five (parents, grandparents, and a teenager) all enjoyed this beautiful home. We had Costco deliver groceries when we first arrived and enjoyed cooking most meals on-site. The BBQ grill was a bit dirty and the hosts immediately remedied the situation by not just cleaning the grill, but by replacing it with a new one before we returned from our outing!! We enjoyed every part of the island, from sunrise at the National Park, to whale watching on the west coast and everything in between. We would recommended any one to stay at this home and hope it is available when we return to Maui!

Nice, calm residential area in the middle of the island. It was a great base without the resort congestion for day trips to anywhere on Maui. Host was super nice, helpful, and prompt on all communication.

It’s a good option for a typical family with 2-3 younger children or 2 families with one kid each. Very nice house design especially the deck connecting 2 sides of the house! Big sheltered parking lot, quiet neighborhood, though maybe not your desired location if you are looking for a place close to restaurants, shopping center or entertainment. The owner couple , Dave and Natalie are very nice and gentle people. They provided a brand new futon without any charge to accommodate our kids who wanted to sleep together at the family room, also stopped by to say hi with a bag of cookies! A warm welcome! This is the location close to Hāna road starting point and the Haleakala National park if that’s what you plan for, though no good restaurants or shopping center nearby.
