The hosts, Francesca and Federico are so charming, kind, and helpful! The location is perfectly situated and within walking distance to ALL the must-sees, in addition to a variety of restaurants. It's less than a 7min walk to train station, and less than a 20min taxi ride from the airport as well. I can't say enough about the breakfasts, superb! It's near the bustle when you step out, but quiet with no street noise once inside. Laying on our beds and gazing up at a dreamy, centuries-old fresco, or standing on our balcony during a lovely summer's evening storm was magical. Yes, the elevator is the old-fashioned type with the manual gates and only fits 2ppl at a time. It's a little awkward to get into and out of, but please don't let that deter you. My friend and I took turns with our luggage. My luggage was huge and we were fine. Molte grazie Francesca & Federico!
My only suggestion would be to put a motion activated light from landing between the hotel and the landing below it.

Great location in walking distance to most of the sightseeing areas. Nice breakfast!
Nothing really. The fridge was a little too small for our food, but that could be solved by removing the minibar stuff from it for the duration of our stay
