Hotel is in beautiful location lovely rooms and nice pool. Staff were friendly good menu and wine selections
You had to book in for an hour for the pool which was not ideal. Our brothers wedding meal was not available until 5pm so all guests had to find something to do for 2 hours. Our meal on first night very bland no seasoning fortunatley wedding meal better. When returned just about 11pm found bar all closed so no drinks available? Another guest showed us how to get into reception using keycard? Not very helpful really

The room was very pleasant with a comfortable bed and a good sea view. The ensuite facilities very very good.
As Kinloch Hotel is quite remote, we chose to eat in the restaurant on the first evening. Prior to going down for dinner, we reviewed the restaurant menu online and were pleasantly surprized by the array of meals on offer. However, when we were given the evening menu, the choices were considerably less. When we compared the two Evening menus, the menu on the hotel website had 16 Main Dishes and 5 burgers whereas the Evening menu (excluding the specials) we were offered in the restaurant had only 10 main dishes and 3 burgers on offer. We sent an e mail to the hotel as soon as we arrived back in our room, but to date, I have not received a reply. Consequently, we eat out in Lamlash and Brodick for the remaining two nights of our stay. In the morning, we also found the breakfast was below our expectations. Guests are not free to help themselves to the cooked breakfast, they are served by one of the waiting staff. The eggs were so overcooked they were very disappointing. Having complained via e mail and having no response, we noted that we were asked every morning at breakfast whether we would be eating at the hotel that evening. The staff almost seemed awkward when asking us as if they had been warned to be on their guard against us.
