What a magic setting and lovely accommodation. Our room (private with en suite) was spacious and immaculate with fresh linens and towels, as well as a balcony. Ziortza-Bolibar is such a beautiful town with a great family-friendly restaurant on the main square across the stream from the hostel. There are blackout blinds so we got great rest despite the jet lag and woke up to sheep baying (those and the goats were a great treat to my 5 year old). The hostel is directly on the northern part of the Camino, so if you’re hiking it or just want to get out in the stunning natural landscapes of Pais Vasco it’s the perfect place, (and also only 45 mins from Bilbao and 1 hr 15 to San Sebastián).
One observation not necessarily bad just an observation - when we stayed in June the other guests were exclusively male - I was travelling with my coparent but had I been alone or with myself and child without a group I might have not been as comfortable. But please don’t take this as a negative, the management was very kind and responsive and the beautifully restored building and town a perfect springboard for hiking the Camino or exploring Pais Vasco.

In a great spot for the Camino. Pretty much the main stay in Bolibar. It’s in a cute house and the rooms are basic but we booked a good double with private bathroom. The restaurant next door is good for a basic dinner and then pastry and coffee for breakfast. Simple but everything you need.
There is no sound proofing but that was not really a problem as most people staying are on the walk. There were no real early risers so no noise until after 8.

Noisy. Floors are very thin. People stomping around. Very inadequate. Even no toilet paper.
