Lovely attic apartment just ten minutes walk from the Arena, and close to the train station. Very comfortable with all mod cons - everything I needed for a great relaxing stay.

We had a very comfortable stay for three nights. The location is great, a 10 min walk to the centro storico.
Gaia was very welcoming and gave us a lot of suggestions for local shops and places to eat (though advise checking first as some will be closed over winter). Licia and the owner were very accommodating- the owner is lovely and lives next door , so she is available if you need anything (like being let back in after you’ve checked out and left keys inside and then realise you’ve left something behind!)
The apartment is surprisingly spacious , was well heated constantly, and was very comfortable. We used the sofa bed and this was also comfortable thanks to a good mattress topper.
The kitchen has everything you need, including a big selection of cakes, croissants, dry bread, jams, Nutella, teas and Nespresso pods for breakfast, plus basics like oil and salt in the cupboard if you want to cook. Good gas stove, plus microwave, Nespresso machine, kettle and manual milk frother.
Plentiful hot water for showers.
Lots of thoughtful touches, feels very homely.
Everything was great - no complaints from us! But just be aware that the lift will only take you to the 4th floor and you need to walk the lat set of stairs, something to consider if you have mobility issues or cannot carry your suitcase up and down a flight of stairs.

We stayed in the apartment during the last week of July, when there was quite an extreme heat wave going on in Verona. The aparment is located close to the railway station and about 15 minute walk from the old town, which was perfect for us. If everything would’ve gone as planned, our stay would have probably been perfect, but this time there were just too many issues.
During our stay we faced a few issues.
1. The AC in the bedroom did not work, so we were unable to sleep there. Instead we had to sleep in the sofa bed, which was far from comfortable and negatively affected our readiness for the few days we were in Italy. We understand that things may break down and it might take some time to fix them, but still, it was a huge annoyance.
2. The apartment was not cleaned when we arrived. In the end, this did not really matter to us as we were about to head to the old town anyways. Apparently there was some miscommunication between the owner and the cleanup company and they thought the guests were going to change the next day. The cleaning was done while we were away, so no points really lost there. Had we arrived late in the evening, this would have been quite a serious issue.
3. There were no trash bags in the apartment (after cleanup) so we went and bought a roll ourselves
4. The apartment had no shower gel or shampoo, so prepare to get some.
5. Elevator only worked when we arrived. After that it was walking up and down 5 floors. We’re athletic, so did not really bother us and was in no way the fault of the aparment owner.
