Das Haus ist wunderschön und sehr komfortabel. Es war alles da, was man braucht. Das Haus liegt in einer Ferienhaussiedlung, ist aber so umwachsen, dass man keine Nachbarn sieht. Das Haus liegt direkt am Golden Circle. Daher hört man etwas den Straßenverkehr. Der große Hot-Tub war vorgeheizt und sehr angenehm mit einer netten Aussicht. Die Besitzerin war bei Nachfragen gut zu erreichen. Um zum Haus zu kommen, muss man durch eine Schranke, die per Telefon geöffnet wird. Entsprechende Instruktionen erhält man vorab. Als wir ankamen, haben wir die Besitzerin angerufen, die die Schranke öffnen ließ und man erhält die Telefonnummer zum öffnen. Dies funktioniert aber nicht mit dem eigenen Handy, sondern man muss das im Haus vorhandene IPhone verwenden und dieses somit auf Ausflügen auch mitnehmen. Das Haus ist superschön und sehr zu empfehlen. Die nahegelegene nette Stadt Selfoss hat alles zu bieten, was man benötigt.
Das Haus hat leider nur ein kleines Fenster im modernen Bad, an welches man schlecht rankommt. Wenn zwei oder drei Personen geduscht haben, muss man die Badezimmertür und am besten auch die danebenliegende Tür zur Terrasse zum Ablüften öffnen. Eine Belüftungsanlage im Bad wäre von Vorteil. Den Backofen haben wir leider nicht in Betrieb bekommen. Entweder war er defekt oder es gibt eine speziellen Bedienungstrick, den wir nich kannten. Das war aber nicht schlimm. Wir wollten die Besitzerin nicht so spät stören und haben das Essen dann ich der Bratpfanne zubereitet.

Beautiful cottage and extremely well-equipped for our stay. The location was very peaceful but still close to many of the places we wanted to visit. Communication with the host was excellent. Our toddler enjoyed the toys and we especially enjoyed the hot tub in the chilly evenings! Iceland is expensive and we felt the price was extremely reasonable.
No soap or shampoo in bathroom (that we could find) so bring your own!

The pictures don’t do it justice- it was even more beautiful than the pictures show- we felt very lucky to stay there! The home owner was quick to respond to questions, and the home was equipped with everything we needed to stay comfortably (especially the kitchen!). We were also very happy with the location to go east or west to explore :)
