Nestled in Sierra Nevada, this charming cabin for $250 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. This Custom Cedar Log Home is a charming, new, custom built home, designed with the traveler in mind. It is conveniently located near Yosemite National Park along scenic Highway 49 in Historic Mariposa, approximately 9 miles east of the town of Mariposa. Beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean, the log home has three bedrooms that sleep six - all with brand new mattresses/box springs, and solid wood flooring. The Master bedroom features a king-size, solid oak bed and new 36 inch flat screen TV. The Master bathroom is wheelchair accessible featuring elegant whirlpool tub. The other two bedrooms are also tastefully decorated in a rustic theme; one with bunk beds, one with a Internet computer and WiFi wireless connection and full-size Futon bed. The large, open family kitchen has built-in new Jennaire dual bbq cook top and new appliances throughout, granite counter tops and custom cabinetry. It is fully equipped for the gourmet cook and includes all the conveniences for vacation entertaining. The highlight of the Living room is a wood burning free-standing stove for cozy evenings. All Living room furnishings is new leather, including an entertainment center with 50” flat screen satellite TV, stereo sound and home theater system, FM/DVD/CD player. Enjoy our new Wii entertainment system. The fully furnished dining room next to the living room affords easy access to the kitchen. Outside amenities include a gas barbecue, and wheel chair accessible ramps. Decks are ideal for outdoor dining, relaxing and star gazing under incredible open night skies, away from city lights. There is also a covered porch with log furniture, a glider log swing and fishing pond. Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult. Cabin was exactly as advertised. Easy access, Mornings were beautiful and Yosemite was, as always, spectacular. On site owner was not needed, but comforting. Everything was just as portrayed if not more.

Everything we expected. Bob was great helping us out when heater was not working. Those things like heater going out just happen, but we were comfortable. He was great for alternative options.

We have been in the are in past but first time Ina cabin. I love the outdoors and country feel. Used the wood burning fireplace and kept the living room very toasty and warm. everything was there at our fingertips and even the outdoor bbq grill was fun!

The cabin was exactly as described. A beautiful 3-bedroom place to hang your head after a long day at Yosemite. I would happily rent this cabin again, but next time I would stay longer. The hosts were helpful. You get exactly what is described.

Fairly new cabin. Well maintained and clean. Well stocked with appliances and supplies. Labels with directions were very helpful. Outdoor spaces were pleasant. It’s obvious that the owner takes pride in the property!

We were looking for forever to stay that was close to Yosemite without being right in Yosemite. We needed to still have reliable wifi for school and work, and this place gave us that. We drove about an hour to get to the Yosemite valley and about the same to get to Mariposa Grove. It was the perfect place to come back to after a long day of hiking. Our kids loved having a Wii bowling tournament and playing horseshoes outside. At night we went outside to star gaze thanks to the low light pollution in the area. We went into town to explore and my kids enjoyed the comic book store and eating at the Happy Burger. I would definitely recommend this cabin for anyone planning to go to Yosemite. But just a heads up, I would say it sleeps five, not six, because the futon is a full size and a tight fit unless you are using it for two small kids.

This cabin is so much more than what we expected, OMG talk about pride, the interior was so meticulously designed and clean, all the amenities were top class. The only negative was that there were some cob webs on the outside of the cabin, I just didn’t want to leave.

Loved the cabin and views but the 45 mins to Yosemite gate plus the long wait in line to get in even leaving early was a headache especially with small children who get impatient in the car seat. In total it was 2 hours to get in the park

This log cabin is very well maintained and fully furnished with charming decor. It is located about 1.5 hrs from the Arches Yosemite gate. We were 3 couples and this house is better suited for families with kids. The futon bed in the study was very small for two people and the third bedroom has bunk beds. The master bedroom was lovely with a huge en-suite bathroom. The only comment was the AC vent in the master bdrm is located in the ceiling above the head of the bed making it drafty and noisy during the night. The kitchen was well stocked with nice appliances. The owners provided a lot of nice touches such as menus from nearby restaurants, a computer with Wi-Fi, books and games. On the downside, I never received any communication from the owner up to the day before our check in so after messaging through Expedia and VRBO, I called him on his cellphone. He gave me the code for the front door and despite living on the same property, never had any other contact with Bob. I texted him to keep him apprised of our arrival time and when we were checking out but never got any response at all which is unusual compared to other rentals I’ve done in the past.

Everything was very clean and well stocked with amenities and decorated nicely and in a way that reflected the style and area. Hosts were great. My only two pieces of feedback is the mattress in the Master in very squeaky and even loud when moving around. The other is for 4 adults, the bunk beds didn't work. Also, it was confusing in the write up that the futon in the office was the 3rd bedroom. The pocket doors didn't close all the way so not very private. Thanks for a nice stay.

The cabin was fantasic! It was well-equipped and was close to Yosemite National Park. We went to Yosemite for two days. The first day was overcast and the second day was sunny. Great photographic opportunities under different lighting conditions.

This cabin is phenomenal. It's clean, comfortable, and includes everything you'd need (from laundry detergent to propane for the grill to a chess set and puzzles). Bob gave us the great time to get to Yosemite early or be stuck in terrible traffic, and he was completely right. Thank you for saving us from hours of sitting in traffic to enter the park! Just a peaceful and perfect place to unplug and spend time together with all of the comforts of home. Truly wonderful!!

We enjoyed the property very much . It is in a quiet location and had most everything we needed . The house is very clean and comfortable . We had trouble starting the fire without kindling. We managing to cut some and gathered some while ground was dry .

My family and I absolutely loved this cabin! Beautiful, quiet setting, lovely outdoor area to grill and play cornhole or horseshoes. We loved visiting Yosemite and Mariposa. Would love to stay there again and wished we could have stayed longer.
