A tranquil oasis in busy Kigali

Patrick runs a tight ship and three guest house and apartment we stayed in were both fantastic.

It's a relaxing place 😌 the garden is also beautiful

The decor is so beautiful and so artistic

The parking is too small and to steep, for a small can get damaged and it can be difficult for a new driver to drive from the parking

Great staff!

Nice place with a great view over the city. Great staff, they helped me when my creditcard got swallowed by the local ATM. Good shower, proper bed. Colourful accomodations.

Restaurant is a little bit pricey if you compare it to same kinds of restaurants in the area.

Wonderful cozy place! Recommended for any type of trip - romantic, family, work, etc

Very comfortable room fan and mosquito net. We were able to keep cool and bite free. Reliable hot water with nice pressure for good showers. All of the staff was super friendly and helpful. The kitchen folks were great and made phenomenal food for every meal. Reliable wifi. The garden was a lovely place to relax and have beers in the evening. Power outlets a plenty, so also a very comfortable place to work if you need. Great cappuccino included with breakfast.

There's not much to dislike. Location wise, the motorbike taxis really had a hard time to find it so I guess it's off the beaten path, but don't let that discourage you. Still a nice and safe place to be and the bikes were cheap to get downtown.

Good but could have been Great

The Breakfast was amazing the staff as well were very accommodative. The place is serene and captures the African heart which made it enjoyable. The Chef is super fast and the meals are awesome. My view of the City was great

The place we stayed the apartment was quite dusty maybe the area but walking through the house and the kids socks was dirty which was a disappointment. The area is also a bit further out from town which is okay if you are staying on the weekends otherwise it can mess you up.

This place is a chill guesthouse, great for backpackers and so on.

The room was super large; the breakfast was huge and delicious. The place has a nice, chill vibe. Staff were super helpful.

unfortunately, 2 out of 6 days the Wifi didn’t work. This is a huge inconvenience when you’re traveling for work / want to keep in touch with your family and friends who are far away.

It was fine but not a great deal, and we would not stay there again.

The property was clean and had a nice design.

The cost was too high for what you get and did not include breakfast (it was cheaper to have food delivered from town than to purchase the breakfast at the property). We booked an apartment with a mountainside view but we’re told it was being renovated, so we were put in two rooms. One of our rooms was right next to the laundry and kitchen area and had windows on two sides. The curtains were thin and did not cover all the windows, so light flooded in at night. It was also loud due to people talking and working in that area at night and early in the morning. Our other room did not have mosquito nets for all the beds but a bug zapper instead that was making noise throughout the night. There was also a sizeable gap under the outside door and bugs / worms were coming into the room.

Perfect in every way

Really friendly. The staff are all so welcoming, and the chefs are fantastic. There is a lovely, calm, laid back ambience to the place and just sitting out on the terrace - whether morning, afternoon or evening - looking out over Kigali, surrounded by the exotic plants which grow in the gardens, the relaxing music and the various birds who visit is a treat in itself. The area (Gikondo) is also worth exploring, with its vibrant commercial centre (a 10 minute walk from Yambi) to the nearby Anglican church, from where some truly amazing singing emanates. The moto taxi drivers we met in Gikondo were fab, and it was really easy to get into downtown Kigali, Kigali Heights, the airport, etc.

Very big and spacious room, nice breakfast buffet, lots of fellow travelers that you can engage with at the lobby.

Splendid ❤️

Wonderful location in a quiet neighbourhood. From the appartement we had a great view over Kigali. Great spot to come back to after a busy day all around Kigali. It’s not really central but you can easily get everywhere by Moto-taxi or taxi. Cosy garden and dining area. Good food, friendly staff… We definitely go back there!

Very good

When we arrived they made us feel very welcome. It was clean, the rooms were spacious and the staff were helpful. The food we had was delicious. They made pumpkin soup for my parents for breakfast which they loved. We stayed for two nights on different days. On the last night, they upgraded. my parents which was so thoughtful of them. They arranged transport for us to Musanze and Kibuye and back to Kigali. Mico was great 👍🏽 👌. He drove us round, helped us with our gorilla permits, took us for a boat trip and night fishing. He was so knowledgeable about different things. They have a tour company Yambi tours which offer great prices for the different activities that you can do in Rwanda. Yes yes please stay there.

DONT GO THERE. When we arrived the receptionist asked us to pay 20$ more than the booking reservation. It didn't included the breakfast. So we had to pay for it, and again they charged us for the 20$ breakfast while we chose the 14$ option. They are not honest people. They are better options, with kind and honest hosts + with a more central location. Look at Inzozi guesthouse. Safe travels x

A gem!

Spent a week here and totally enjoyed it. Bed and bathroom neat and comfy. Loved the decor. Used the paid laundry service. Lovely patio space and garden. It's not super close to the centre, but I enjoyed becoming familiar with another part of Kigali, and it was easy to get moto taxis from the main road. As a solo female guest here, I felt safe in the neighbourhood, though it's always good to be careful and prudent when walking on the streets, of course. I spent plenty of time working/chilling in the common areas and room. Wifi was good enough for meetings and streaming. Got disconnected a couple of times, but that was rare. Friendly staff. The chef was amazing. Always smiling! I had planned to cook some of my meals, but he was so good that I happily abandoned my original plan :D Oh, and the vegan options are more than satisfactory.

Yambi hotel is a great place to be for your holiday in Rwanda. It feels like home.

I loved the colorful place, food and personal.

It was a bit to far away from everything. But you could easily order a taxi. They have drivers that can bring you where you want and when you want it. So it wasn’t a problem that could not be solved.

Wonderful staff, very welcoming and very helpful. Very beautiful and relaxing space, and a spacious room. Delicious breakfast and food in general. wonderful traditional african music playing all the time (quietly!)
