So serene, Beautiful, Clean, comfortable room. Great view of the oceanfront from the balcony! great location, great complementary cocktail. Excellent service, Excellent amenities.

The 1661 inn was a dream to stay at. I have always wanted to see block island in the winter and we finally made the trip during a freezing January weekend. I’m so glad the inn is open year round to accommodate guests. And while it was only us and one other man staying at the hotel they still offered us all the fanfare including wine and cheese and a beautiful breakfast. The room was gorgeous and the view was incredible. The sheets and towels were so soft, the room was cozy and impeccably clean. I also love that every room is different and unique in its decor! The staff was so friendly and polite. Thank you 1661 inn, we will be back :)

Off season was gorgeous and quiet and the weather and temperature were surprisingly comfortable for hiking. The availability for shopping was nonexisting which was ok for us but there were not many dining choices open on the islandbut we enjoyed what was avaiable. They had a nice continential breakfast and wine and cheese at the inn which we enjoyed. Gluten free breakfast choices were available for choosing which was much appreciated.

I love overlooking the water. The decks are really spacious with great views. The people working there are some of the warmest, nicest people I've ever met.The owner, Rita Draper is always checking in with residents to ask how they're enjoying their stay. Lovely people, lovely place. Nothing bad to say!

The ceiling in our room was hard to look at. It looked more like employee housing. But we love the property overall, and the bed and bedding were very comfortable.

The location is perfect. Walking distance to the ferry and across the street from a small farm, which is fun to visit. The complimentary wine and cheese at 4pm is a nice way to start the evening.

Love the 1661 and visit almost every year. This year they seemed a little behind on its cleaning on a few days we were there -- but usually it's very good. Wondering if they are having staffing troubles like many places.

I’ve been coming to Block Island for over 40 years and this was the first time I stayed here. I must say this is one of the best places to stay bar none ! I had met the proprietor and she was warm,friendly and gracious ! I’ve never experienced that on this island.

An absolutely delightful stay for my family! The inn itself is lovely, our room was spacious and beautiful, breakfast was delicious and you couldn't ask for friendlier or more helpful staff. Easy walk to restaurants, shops, bike rentals. We purposely went in mid-spring for off-season quiet, and The 1661 Inn was the perfect balance of liveliness and relaxation. Visiting the camels and kangaroos at the farm across the street was a delightful bonus!

This is such a beautiful spot! We love the decks facing the ocean and spend quite a bit of time on them. We really enjoy the breakfast and wine in the afternoon. It's a very friendly place and we always meet new people visiting as well. The staff is superb! Very warm and interested in making our stay the best possible experience for us.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. I cannot say enough for the food that came with our package. The room with a view of the ocean was epic and the grounds and landscape were impeccable. We’re we to ever come back to Block Island, we wouldn’t stay any place else but 2661 Inn.
