Comfortable and quiet with breathtaking views!

The breakfast was delicious and I loved the view from my balcony!

The only thing I would have liked would have been a coffee pot in my room. Other than that, everything was perfect!

Very good

Front desk was excellent. Great help in arranging tours. Very friendly. Property has great bird watching and is close to two excellent restaurants: Thomas & Tiego and Dom Luis. can walk to in 5 minutes.

The only reason I gave the hotel 4 stars was the breakfast. The first day eggs and supposed hot food were barely warm. I don't think they turned on the heat. Fruit was not cored well. The second and third days it got marginally better and on the last day it close to good. They need an attentive manager.

would stay again if they get new beds.

the location was great. great views. close to town. the staff was amazing. good free breakfast.

the rooms are dated. the beds NOT comfortable at all. very old and lumpy. so bad.

Pleasant

Breakfast was pretty bad, could have used a lot more options and higher quality food. Grab and go items would be appreciated. The room had a good view.

Bad bug problem in the rooms. Mosquitos everywhere with no net. Very basic room which is fine, but for the price was a little much. Would stay elsewhere with more advanced booking time and options.

Perfect place to start a Costa Rican adventure!

Everything about this hotel was perfect! We were very impressed with the staff - they actually took an interest in us, asked questions about our lives and our trip - this is rare. The setting was beautiful - the grounds, the view, the buildings. The food was amazing as well.

The two thoughts we had - this place would be even cooler with a hot tub. It is a perfect setting for a warm soak at night. Also, they might want to consider updating the furniture in the dining room. It would be so cool to at least have a small section with wooden table and chairs, in the typical Costa Rican style.

Nice spacious rooms with amazing views

Friendly staff, large rooms with a bathtub and amazing view. Delicious breakfast.

Only downside was that the beds and pillows were very, very hard

Could be better if the hotel makes some improvements.

People. I may give a lower score if staffs were not nice and friendly. The breakfast is ok. Sausage and other meats were too dry. The property is nice for people want to use hotel’s own trails.

The room really needs some updates. When I checked in, they couldn’t find my Booking.com info. Just realized they overcharged me in USD by using my CAD amount on my App.

Breakfast was great. Best pinto I ever had. The room had a great view. It was a large hotel with a great restaurant.

Good location, grounds fairly good.

Breakfast was cold, food was mediocre…Why is this hotel highly rated for birders. I could find no reason…though I didn’t explore the hotels trails… The architecture of the Montana was pretentious and inconvenient… getting to our first floor room, involved three flights of stairs…Now I am staying at The Cloud Forest Lodge…which is a wonderful facility in a beautiful wooded setting.

Good stay

Location is great, close to the reserve. The view was awesome! Room was clean and big. The staff was super friendly.

The gallo pinto Breakfast was a bit bland. The forniture in the room could be better, is too simple and the beds are not as comfy as I expected. The lake area could use some manteinance

Comfy and Cozy

Our room had a great view and we enjoyed the large tub. The innkeeper was very friendly and gave good recommendations. The hotel was quiet and cozy. They did not have a restaurant but were kind enough to prepare takeaway chicken for us.

They did not have a restaurant and the rooms could be more updated.

Mountain style hotel. Big parking lot. Close to downtown.

Owner how walks around all day was not following COVID protocol. Not even in the kitchen.
