Amazing stay! Thank you Hyatt Place!

Property was very accommodating! My flight arrived early and they were gracious to provide me with an early check in. Hotel was clean with updated look and feel and very close to beach and shops. There’s also a nice street full of food trucks nearby! Very friendly and helpful staff as well. My favorite hotel in Honolulu!

We loved our stay at the Hyatt.

Arrival gift of drink bottles which we used our whole trip. Breakfast each morning and location being 5 minute walk from the beach. Staff were very helpful too!

Excellent stay with clean rooms, all the expected hotel amenities, and close proximity to the beach.

Hotel was perfectly located within the Waikiki Beach area only a short 1-minute walk to the beach and within walking distance of all major Waikiki area attraction to include all restaurants, other hotels, stores, mall, and the zoo. The daily breakfast buffet was exceptional in terms of the hot options, bread, fruit, and juice/milk options. Additionally, when considering the other local hotels charged up to $40 for a breakfast meal, the amount paid for lodging (which includes the daily breakfast buffet) was quite the value.

No issues at all with the stay.

I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were very spacious and very clean. The breakfast was also very good. There was a variety of foods to choose from. I loved the area of the hotel. It was walkable and very close to the beach.

Kromě snidane vše v pořádku

Snídaně pouze venku, při větru snidane byla velmi nepříjemná, vše lítalo, ptáci všude, lehký déšť, toto je vážně zcela neakceptovatelné. Snidane určitě neodpovídají hotelu teto kategorie, vůbec ne ani obrázku.

Die Lage ist gut. Man ist nach wenigen Metern am Strand. Das Frühstück ist landestypisch. Toast und Bagels, täglich Rührei mit Waffeln oder french Toast und Schinken und immer Ananas. Dazu Kaffee, Saft und Milch. Nicht sehr abwechslungsreich, aber in Oednung.

Die Frühstücksterrasse ist im Freien. Bei Wind sehr stürmisch und bei Regen etwas ungünstig,

Nice decent clean hotel

The hotel room was very spacious, the staff very friendly, you get some perks not mentioned & a gift bag upon arrival. Breakfast was decent. Small pool never saw anyone there. Good location.

A bit of a distance I’m use to just crossing the street to the beach.

Disappointing for a “Hyatt” hotel

Great location

I wish the staff was more friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was disappointing, canned pineapple, coffee was bitter. The elevators are super slow. Our room was a good size but the bathroom had faint smell of urine.

Did not meet our expectations

The room was dated but clean and comfortable, with a very small balcony. Staff were friendly. In the evening there is good take-away food from a selection of food trucks in the side street - Thai, Korean, Mexican, etc, that was easy and convenient after being out all day.

The breakfast buffet was poor, it was on level 3, at the outside pool area. We were quite shocked at how minimal the food was was and the disorganized system. The pool itself was clean but had the bare basics for furniture and no plants or greenery whatsoever. Not a welcoming place for breakfast. There is an additional $US 41/ day charged by the hotel for the use of beach towels, beach chairs etc . It does include an appetiser at the bar (not sampled by us) and $5 /day towards purchase of a snack This charge should be made clear at the time of booking.

Overpriced for the hotel condition

Comfortable bed. Decent free breakfast. Complimentary beach chairs and towels. 2 blocks from beach.

Hotel is old and tired. Rooms are dark (mountain side) and bathrooms are worn out. 2 bank elevator next to check in is overwhelmed and takes forever. Everybody complained about it. We expected a nicer place for the price paid.

Good location but not cheap, but typical for the location. An average hotel

The beds were comfortable and the hotel was close to the beach. The Valet staff were excellent as were the general staff in the foyer.

Resort fee - paid a lot for facilities I didn’t need or want. Parking very expensive but on par with other hotels. Breakfast area plagued with birds in the morning not very hygienic. Upgraded to a sea view and yes we could see the sea but it was not a great view. Lifts were not the quickest.

A Few Disappointments Compared To Previous Years' Stays

We have been staying at this hotel for years now because it is at the quiet end of Waikiki. Also, up until this year, we were always able to get a late checkout (for a fee). Also liked that breakfast was included, even though it wasn't anything special except for the pineapple.

Over the years, we have always found the staff to be very pleasant staff. This year, our room attendants were also really nice, but the front desk staff was not especially friendly nor helpful, and seemed a bit bored. Also, the new procedure for beach towels was cumbersome, especially when there was a lineup at the front desk.
