About this house rental

Situated in Newport, this charming house for $150 per night is a great option for your next break. We are unable to host service or therapy animals due to health reasons . Seaside Retreat is a private suite with a comfy king size bed and private bathroom. There is a two day minimum except for folk and jazz festival which is a three night minimum. We will offer a one night minimum if that is all that is available upon request. We will consider a 2 day minimum during music festivals if that is all that is available. We offer off street parking . Check in is at 4 pm and check out is 11 am. Times are flexible but please contact us to see if possible and a fee might be added for early check in or late check We are located in the center of historic Newport , a short walk to downtown, a two minute walk to the historic Broadway ( where the locals hang out) , the Newport Harbor( take a sailboat or motor boat excursion) , restaurants (including the White Horse Tavern,one of the oldest operating taverns in the U.S.) as well as trolleys to the mansions , the Tennis Hall of Fame , the Folk and Jazz Festivals . It is a private suite with its own private bathroom plus sitting room and kitchenette (microwave fridge ,Keurig coffee machine (including free coffee and snacks), wine glasses etc . Free WIFI. For larger parties, check with owners for availability our other suite. Callender House is a Colonial house circa 1870

We were in Newport for a wedding. We stayed at Callender house four nights. It’s a very convenient location and having a parking space is a huge perk in Newport. It’s a charming space that has everything you need for a short stay such as ours. It’s nicely decorated and was clean and well equipped and maintained. Would highly recommend!

We were attending a wedding and rehearsal dinner in Newport. This was the perfect place to stay. A 20 minute walk into “downtown”, and a lovely, quiet neighborhood. The bed was extremely comfortable, we loved the sitting area. I would stay here again, and hope I get the opportunity. The hosts were responsive to our questions and very helpful.

Amazing hosts who provided such a comfy stay. My husband and I were just married and they just made it so special by giving us a homemade breakfast the next morning and a sweet wedding gift. Super nice super clean such a great stay!

We loved our stay at this property! The entrance was lovely (soft music, nice lighting) and our room was great. It was beautifully decorated and you can tell they take pride in their home. They provided lots of extra touches to make it comfortable for their guests (my favorite being a makeup mirror). We even met one of the owners and had a pleasant conversation with him. It was centrally located and convenient and quick to get placesI We would highly recommend staying here and would do it again!

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights and we will absolutely be back. Our room was so clean, well decorated and the perfect size for just the 2 of us. The bathroom was super clean, the bed was massive and very comfortable, and the window AC came in handy because the weather was just starting to warm up. The owners were lovely, too. The location was great- right by some restaurants and about a 15 min walk into downtown. I highly recommend!

My friend and I were in town to run the Newport Marathon and stayed in two rooms so we could have our own space, stay focused and woosah before the big event. My mom and sister had stayed here before and highly recommended it and I can see why. This is truly the place to be! Everything is high class. I stayed in the Seaside room which offers a little more space, like a little seaside apartment and my friend stayed in the Captains room which she described as a hideaway bungalow. Each have their own private bathrooms. We both could not have been happier with our spaces! Every detail was thought about to make us most comfortable. After our race, the host even wrote a little note of congratulations to be seen upon our entry and it was the cherry on top for our race experience. This house is beautiful, the rooms are so inviting and comfortable and the entire experience was A+ in every single way!!! Thank you to our amazing hosts for a glorious stay.

My partner and I stayed at The Callender House our first visit to Newport in 2019. We loved it then and fell in love with Newport and especially the local neighborhood. We went back this March and the place was perfect. It is beautifully kept - there is no sign of wear and tear - the large bed is incredibly comfortable - and we love the historic feel of the property and the charming way it is decorated. It is a great value in this popular town. Off street parking is a huge plus. Thank you!

This is the best spot for a couples getaway! The room was very clean and had a little kitchenette area. The hosts provided coffee/tea, chilled water bottles, and granola bars. It really is so close to restaurants, shops, and the waterfront, we could walk everywhere! We would absolutely stay here again. The communication from Keverne and James was great as well, check in and check out was very easy. They also provided restaurant recommendations!
