The staff were fantastic, the room spacious. Hotel garden is absolutely stunning both at night and during the day. Very wide choice for breakfast. Terribly regret staying only 1 night!
You have to know it's kinda up the hill, so would be hard to take a lot of luggage

The property is very large and offers lots to explore in and around the hotel. They offer shuttle services to Gora and accommodates a bus stop within its infrastructure. There are plenty of on the house treats all across the hotel and it’s beautifully decorated. It has beautiful outdoor onsen and both offer a breathtaking view. It’s a luxurious hotel that offers a strong competition to its local hakone competitors.
It’s a bit remote and had to reach if you are arriving at unusual times or if you caught a late train.

Abundante comida

Old style hotel.
Crowded at breakfast and very simple one btw.
They didn’t reserved us a table for dinner, despite we asked for it.

This place is so beautiful during the Autumn time.
The amenities are great, there's free ice cream from the vending machines! They also had a free concert going on when we were there.
The onsen is fantastic, they provide toiletries as well as yukatas.
There's a garden at the property you can walk around in.
The dinner kaiseki was great, they gave us a dinner buffet afterwards as well if we wanted more food. The breakfast buffet was also fantastic!
There was A LOT of people, probably because we went during peak Koyo season, but getting to the destination via bus was a nightmare! The only way to get to Odawara for the shinkansen is by bus, which is 40-50 minutes. You can opt for a taxi, but when we tried, they were all booked already :(

This was a real treat. Not cheap but the experience was more than worth it. On arriving, you are greeted at the door by wonderful ladies that take your bags and help you check in. Tea ,cold drinks, ice-cream are all available in the reception area where there is also an external balcony area with seating and foot spa looking across to the mountains. The rooms have private onsens on the balcony and the rooms are spacious and well appointed. We had a kaiseki meal plan which was theatre in itself. Breakfast was even more incredible with a mind boggling array of choice including lobster legs and champagne! Our stay was our last day in Japan after a 5 week tour and when the taxi took us to the train station..I actually shed a tear of sadness. It was such an incredible place to stay .THANKYOU !.we will remember it always!
nothing.

The onsen was great, they switch the men's & women's daily so you experience both. They provide yakuta robes, slippers, etc. which could be wore around the whole hotel so we needed very little in way of clothes. The breakfast was exceptional, there was a massive range of items from bacon and eggs to curry to ice cream and everything in between. Prosecco and wine available at breakfast and all day in the lobby. Really recommend booking the dinner when booking your room, it was different each night we stayed and was a real show of tasty Japanese food.

The location is in the nature. The hotel is serarouded by trees , the two Onsen are amazing , very good and varied breakfast. The stuff is helpfull and give the feelung of caring of the guest. We had diner on two nights. They put the first night's menu on the second night and immediatly upon discovering the mistake they desided to give us free drinks with the meal. Room for two people is very large . You get a luxurious robe, pyjama and top.
The room for 4 people is the same size us for two so it was too crowded .
The dinner is very experiental but too expensive.

Very good onsen facilities. While the waterfall pool is unexpectedly calm, the infinity pool is breathtaking. Very good buffet dinner and breakfast. Live music in the garden is wonderful. Free flow of various types of tea throughout the day and sparkling wine in the evening.
Nothing.

Lovely room with bath on balcony. Very friendly staff. Great location. Bus stop just outside hotel with connections to lots of local areas and main train stations. Hotel staff had copies of timetables in English too which was helpful.
Perhaps a little expensive having stayed in other accommodation in Japan. Room was big and very comfortable but perhaps a little dated for the price.

Great hotel overall! The location had great views. And is high in the mountain. The shuttle they provide from Gora station is awesome and runs often. From the station to the shuttle there are stairs you have to go up and down which can be difficult if you have mobility issues or heavy luggage. No elevator. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. My son and I stayed here for two nights and we really enjoyed wearing the yukata’s they provide. We wore them to the onsen and to dinner.
They have two onsens and they rotate them every day so men and women can enjoy what each one has to offer. They have one onsens with a natural waterfall a- beautiful, made of stones and in treed area. The second onsen has a man made infinity pool that over looks the mountains with an amazing view.
We also enjoyed using our bath on the balcony, which we used with our bathing suits but it’s very private if you choose to use it without.
We had the breakfast and dinner buffet included in our meal and we enjoyed them. They had other restaurants on the property though if you choose not to get it included. There is also a family mart - you could buy drinks and food.
They served free cold teas during the day and and free sparkling wine in the evening.
The foot onsen over looking the mountains was relaxing and a nice touch.
We really enjoyed walking around the garden in the ending when it was all lit up!
The hotel is connected to the Yennsen which I was looking forward to using, as you use your bathing suit to use the hot springs and swimming pool which I wanted to do with my son, however there are too many kids/ people in there probably a few hundred at one time and you could reach out and touch someone every time it’s that tight. It’s included in the hotel price, but just don’t use it if you don’t have young kids. We personally didn’t enjoy it and I had read in other reviews the same things…

Breakfast had options for everyone (huge buffet), spa was excellent, rooms were amazing and the onsen was spectacular. The service was also above and beyond what we expected. Would absolutely recommend.
