Overall we had a very relaxing time and a beautiful house to the 4 of us

The house is right smack in centre of Galle Fort. You will be spoilt for choice for shopping , restaurants , gem shops , banks and money changes , supermarkets ect. Tuk Tuks readily available for a short ride around the areas. However because everywhere is walkable you won't need one. Galle Fort area is just up the road.

Spacious , lovely architecture open concept villa. At nights you can bring the electric shutters down for safety as there is an open courtyard. Otherwise no security issues. Note there are only 2 double rooms in the house therefore when booking both rooms you have the house common areas to yourself. Otherwise you can still use the whole house but you may be sharing the house with the other guest from the other room. The stand alone one studio unit which was under repair is just next door. So check on room arrangements before booking. The entrance of the house is on a narrow street. not much place to park a car or have your driver pick up immediately. The caretaker Nabi was in contact with us and came to check us in and help with our bags up the staircase. Rooms were clean and spacious. Towels and basics like shower wash, shampoo provided and a fridge, kettle - some coffee , tea, creamer in kitchen area. Plates /mugs/cups/wine glasses enough for 4 persons staying. Our only request was that the kitchen areas kept clean as the oven/stove -we could not use due to not being cleaned properly.

Exceptional

Beautiful space and architecture. Its like living in an art gallery with beautiful paintings and furniture everywhere. Location is prime. And Azwaan was an amazing and responsive host.

The kitchen could be a bit better maintained but we didnt really use it.

Exceptional

Excellent location, excellent staff. Azwan was very polite and professional. Initially we were a bit worried that there was no staff at the location during the night, as we were two women travelling on our own. But we had no issues during our stay specially since there were no other guests during our stay. Lovely interior and comfortable beds. Exceptionally clean room and toilet. Will definitely come back with family.

If you like an Arty place, this is it!

Amazing location! Centred around the heart of Galle Fort, surrounded by restaurants & cafes, all walking distance. Our main contact for the property (Azwaan) was extremely helpful for anything we required.

Room was dusty and cobwebs weren't removed. Other than that, our stay was great!

Great for families needing 2 rooms, not great for those only needing 1 room.

It is a great location and perfect if you are a family who needs a 2 room house, since have full kitchen, nice downstairs, two rooms and two baths.

IF you are alone, or only need one room, then this is not a good option as you are dependent on other guest being a safe person including locking front door upon departure. You are in house alone if have problems with other guest there is no staff on-site for safety. Not set up for business traveler.

great stay!

absolutely loved the artistic home in the heart of Galle. we loved how the owner was in touch with us throughout and was making sure we have a good stay. the interior of the house is stunning with the most gorgeous artworks we have ever seen.

no extra towels, perhaps they can keep extra in a cupboard because we were on our own we didn’t know where to get them from.

Charming accommodation in Galle Fort

Wonderful place to stay in Galle Fort. Restored colonial-era villa, only 2 rooms, comfortable, quiet and stylish. Well equipped kitchen that allowed me to make my breakfasts. Supermarket just down thd road. Good wifi, good value and Azwaan was always ready to offer assistance. Strong recommendation!
