January 2021 Stay
We enjoyed our stay very much and particularly wanted to thank our gracious hosts for their hospitality. They were terrific and neighbourhood was lovely, great for walks and close to everything we needed.

Quiet location for walking or biking in an interesting neighbourhood of Heritage homes. Owners are helpful and accommodating. Unfortunately the heating does not work in the bedroom but works well as an alarm clock. Supplementary heater was supplied. Suite is in need of minor repairs. Kitchen table very wobbly. Minimum cutlery and dishes supplied. Sofa smells of wet dog. Takes a while to get your deposit returned. Asked twice.

We enjoyed staying in the Manor Suite. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Really great central location close to grocery, beaches and parks and lovely for running or walking. The suite is a perfect size for two people, quiet and comfortable. Being a basement suite we found it a little chilly in the morning (but we live in Bermuda so others might not have the same experience).

This apartment has everything guests need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The owners have provided everything guests need in order to relax after a busy day of exploring Victoria. Everything to prepare a meal (simple or complicated) can be found in the well stocked kitchen. The location is convenient and the decor is gorgeous. Just make sure you set your alarm clock/phone alarm - with the blinds closed, the bedroom is wonderfully dark for sleeping until 2:30 in the afternoon (if you forget to set an alarm!!!!). The bathroom is spa-like and wonderful!! The garden which is primarily for guests is luscious and beautifully kept. I would HIGHLY recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Victoria.

Manor Suite was perfect for us as we escaped the snow and cold of Toronto what was the first time but not the last! The suite was well appointed and there was plenty of room for my husband to set up and work remotely (he moved the dining table into the bedroom) and for us to enjoy cooking and relaxing. The bed was very comfortable and the pressure in the shower was great. The bathtub was a definite bonus and luxury. Being able to use the backyard BBQ and sit outside and enjoy the sunshine helped us enjoy Victoria's lovely weather. Bob and Elizabeth were wonderful hosts and available to answer any questions. They also had a lot of great suggestions for sightseeing. The neighbourhood is walkable to everything and also is close to major bus routes. We highly recommend this suite to anyone who wants to enjoy Victoria and its environs.

March 2019 Stay
Spending March and April here at Manor Suite was a perfect way to escape a Toronto winter. My husband was able to work remotely and I got to explore this wonderful walkable city. Elizabeth and Bob are wonderful hosts and really lovely people. Enjoyed watching the flowers bloom. Grateful that we were able to find this accommodation. Thank you.

1310 Manor Road is a good place to stay for a visit to Victoria. It is comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood with a great private backyard for relaxing. It is near a bus stop and it was easy to go downtown to all the interesting activities and restaurants as well as to Butchart Gardens and Sydney. Also it is just two blocks from the Governor’s Residence with its own beautiful gardens. We walked and used inexpensive monthly bus passes (not a car) for our adventurous daily travels. Bob is very friendly and promptly took care of any problems.

We stayed for 4 nights and had a fantastic time in Victoria. The suite is very well maintained and a super location close to everything. Great area outside to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. The Rockland area is close everything and can walk to all the attractions in Victoria. Great for you pet and close to the Cook street waterfront dog park. Defiantly will re-book this unit when we are in Victoria again.

Having stayed for about three weeks in November, we enjoyed our stay very much. The owner, Bob June, was very hospitable and helpful with information and with providing whatever supplies we needed. The suite is very comfortable, clean and fully stocked. Its location is ideal as it's only a ten minute walk to the ocean and shopping and is situated in a quiet, mature, gorgeous neighbourhood with lovely old mansions lining the streets. We really had no complaints about the rental, but could offer a more expanded and robust offering of TV-programing.

Bob and Elizabeth's apartment was just right for our one month stay in Victoria. They are fabulous and friendly hosts and their property is clean and spacious. We are big walkers so downtown, the movies, grocery, and liquor store were 15-20 minute walks. The apartment is located between two sites--Craigdarroch castle and Government House. The pictures are very accurate and show a well-appointed, comfortable living space. We appreciated the in-apartment laundry, full appliance sizes, internet and cable. Our dog was safe in the fenced backyard. We were very satisfied with our rental choice and would highly recommend it to others.

The kitchen was well equipped, the backyard lovely and the owners super people. Bob June was very accommodating. We missed the Sports & Business channels on the TV for the 1 st week as the owners were. Away. The Sports Channel was installed immediately on their return.

Well maintained 1 bedroom suite with huge bathroom and lovely soaker tub plus separate shower. Situated 2 blocks roughly from Craigdarroch Castle and 1 block from Govt House. Lovely area for walking. Owners live upstairs and are very congenial. Dog friendly with fenced back area. Little darker than expected as unit is partially underground. Not a lot of insulation between floors so can be a bit noisy. Bed mattress needs to be replaced. Did NOT like EMR's return of deposit policy and inflexibility with same. Will deter us from using them again.

Loved staying in this beautiful basement apartment, walking distance to downtown, the art museum, Craigdarroch Castle, across the road from the Government House and parkgrounds. The neighborhood is wonderful, quiet, with beautiful gardens. Bob, the owner, was very helpful with recommendations. The kitchen is well stocked with most anything you might need, quality items not typically found in vacation rentals. Know that it is a basement apartment, and insulation between the floors is very thin, you can hear the sounds of people walking around upstairs, it wasn't a big issue for us because we appreciated everything else so much.
