Nestled in Big Bear, this charming cabin for $190 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Located in upper Moonridge, it has views of Big Bear Lake through 2 large sliding doors and on the large deck off the living room. The deck is beautiful. It has a gas barbeque, a new redwood table and chairs, umbrella and secure railings. Nearby is Big Bear lake a golf course, zoo, restaurants, and Bear Mountain ski resort! The cabin has been newly updated bedrooms, large wood beams throughout and wood trim that make a modern blend of mountain cabin with modern amenities. Panoramic views await you from the living room windows looking out on the lake or from the patio watching skiers go down Bear Mountain. Pride of ownership is evident in all new flooring, and windows, natural wood railings and casings and amenities. We thought of everything our family would need to enjoy our stay and are sharing all of this with you. Large 42 inch flat screen TV in living room and 32 inch flat screen down stairs in one first bedroom and a 19 inch flat screen in second bedroom allow for the perfect family entertainment environment. Cable is provided for TV, phone and internet. Free Wi-Fi is provided; including a Bluetooth speaker. Both bedrooms are well furnished with queen beds, pocketed coil mattresses and linens and located on the first floor. The family room has a day bed and trundle. For your dining pleasure, we have a beautiful six seated dining table and all of the tools you will need to make your favorite home cooked meal. The kitchen has two coffee makers, grinder, toaster, microwave, chopping block, knife set, dishes, utensils, glasses, plastic cups for use outside, and food storage containers for your left-overs. First of all the host is great and communicated with us and was always responsive. The cabin is beautiful and stayed warm throughout the trip. Snow in the backyard was fun for the kids to play. They had plenty of blankets and pillows for us to use as well as all the necessary items to cook during our trip. I would recommend this place and host to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy house with a great view of the lake. We skied both Saturday and Sunday and just hung out in the evening. Cozy with everything we needed and plenty of space for our family of 4. Thank you for hosting us.

This cabin gives you that home away from home vibe. My kids loved the place. In terms of needed essentials, this cabin provides that. The communication with the owner is great as well as he is welcoming and is very responsive. 5+++ stars!

Not the high end cabin but better yet it has the warm cozy home environment you expect from a get away. Cabin looks small from the outside but great use of space perfect fitting not too big that the family is spread from each other but not too small that it feels crowded. Definitely would stay again at this property. Great job Mr Harris. Just take into consideration to update lighting and light fixtures, also tvs need update and be a bigger in size and preferably smart tvs so that people could use their apps such as nextflix. Lastly I would integrate strong heaters for the bottom bedrooms or have better air tight windows or insulation at walls because during our stay it snowed every single day and with the house heater on, only the bottom rooms wouldnt feel as warm as the rest of the house but they were not freezing cold they were bareable. This comments were not as important to my family and I because we found solutions to get around them but as a business owner I know that my expectations are not the same as others and there is people that are simply too picky. Nevertheless, great vacation retreat on a beautiful property.

You enter the house using a large porch which very conveniently has 2 gates. At one end of the porch you can park your car right by the gate. At the other end of the porch is a gate to the large well fenced backyard for your pet. There are a couple of drawbacks. The bedrooms are on the entrance level and then you go up some rather Steep steps To the kitchen, living room and deck. So a note to the elderly about the steep steps. There are 2 refrigerators. One in the kitchen and one on the bottom level. Unfortunately, the one in the kitchen didn’t work while we were there. The Plummer came and it is suppose to be fixed In 2 weeks. Also the BQ didn’t work for us. All else was wonderful with a great host.

With all this going on with Covid my family and I decided we needed to take a chance and plan a long overdue visit. We are very close and 6 months is the longest we have gone without seeing each other. When we arrived at the cabin we were very happy with the location and the cabin itself however we then found that the refrigerator did not work, we reported it to the owner and it took him until the following afternoon to bring one in. I had to buy ice to keep all the food we brought for our long weekend cold. That night there was a leak due to the broken fridge so around 3:00 AM I had to get up and find a bucket and put towels down to stop it. I did not sleep at all that night and spent the following day coordinating with the owner on getting a working fridge. On Sunday we had a leak in the upstairs bathroom, I didn't report it until after our stay as I was just over losing precious time with my family in working with the owner on it. When I asked for compensation he expressed that he had spent a large amount of money getting a replacement fridge as though it was something I did to cause the issue. It is very possible I won't rent on VRBO again as most realty companies take customer service at a much higher standard. Oh, and although it was not noted the owner does not expect you to have guests, my sister was staying in a separate cabin and since she was there to visit while he was installing the fridge he for intense purposes called me a liar and said I should have paid for them as well.
