Nestled in Big Bear, this charming cabin for $160 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Close to everything fun! This beautiful spacious cabin has three large bedrooms, two full bathrooms, living room with wood burning fireplace, kitchen and family sized dining room are all under a wood beamed cathedral ceiling great room. Very large dining table easily seats 8 and still has room for a holiday turkey. Kitchen has large tile countertops with bar seating. Equipped with dishwasher, microwave, double oven, blender, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans and more. Living room has a large 42' Plasma Tv and there is free Wi-Fi Internet!! Every bedroom has its own cable TV. Patio with hot tub and charcoal barbecue is in a large fenced in private wooded yard, perfect for children and pets to run and play or a peaceful cup of coffee in the morning. Huge front yard with enormous pine trees offers more room for play. Single story, no stairs anywhere, flat lot makes this cabin very family friendly and easy to access. Over sized carport can fit and RV or boat. Walking distance to the ski slopes. Professionally cleaned and maintained, fresh towels and linens provide to each guest. Sleeps 8. Parking for 4 vehicles. This is a great location for this house.
It was very nice and clean! The host James was always easy to get a hold of when I had questions. We would love to rent this house again when we go to Big Bear!!!

Loved the cabin, it was central to everything. The host let us check in a couple hours early and that was wonderful! I'm definitely going to stay here again. We enjoyed the hot tub, beds were comfortable, decor was cute and cozy. Loved it!

We enjoyed our stay being centrally located and the layout being a one story. Nice family room kitchen area. Had all the amenities including a hot tub! Plenty of pots and pans and utensils. Only negative was the sheet that was used where a blind should be in the front bedroom and street noise from Big Bear Blvd.

This was a lovely property to stay in for a long weekend with four childhood friends. The host, James, was wonderful, responsive and super accommodating. Small warning is that it does not have air conditioning, which would typically be fine, but with a strange heat wave -- think about bringing a fan!

Great place, needs a little TLC. We had a great time. Fenced yard, jacuzzi under the stars and just a perfect time. Stove needs replacing, must use a lighter and I was too scared to light the oven so I made everything on the bbq. I would recommend and stay again. Please get some working fans for those heat warning days. Thank you, great place for the family!

Overall cabin was nice. A lot of things wrong with the place that can be easily fixed with maintenance.
1. Window lock broken at the end of the dining table and does not lock. We slept like this for two nights not knowing window was unlocked.
2. Unit has an ant problem. Fought killing ants all 4 nights.
3. Had a situation with the lawn. Took two dogs and on the first day, they both got tar in between their paw pads on the lawn and dogs had trouble walking. Tried to get it out of their feet. Took several attempts of vegetable oil and dawn dish soap. Did not get it all out. Had to go to Petco to buy rubber booties but did not let them back on the lawn or in the backyard. Tried to call James about it. He did not answer, but left him a message. While I was leaving him a message, he texted me that he could not talk but never returned my phone call.
4. Did not give us enough towels for the people that I said was coming.
5. Kitchen sink was plugged every time we used the water and took hours to drain.
6. Cabin smells like a fireplace. If you are sensitive to smells, don’t stay here.
7. The bedroom door with the bunk beds stick and my son got stuck in his room. I had to push from the outside to open it. This is a safety issue.
8. Round bbq grill grates are all rusted. We went to the DIY hardware store and bought a grate for 26.00 so we could use it. If you want to bring one with you to use, the size is 21” for a 22” round grill.
9. Front door deadbolt is broken.

We had a blast staying here for our kids spring break. Plenty of space, comfortable beds and the jacuzzi was a nice added touch at the end of the day on the slopes. The location is amazing! Can walk to summit which was so convenient! Would love to stay here again!

The homeowner is extremely responsive and friendly. Gave us all the instructions and check-in was very very easy.
Inside property was clean, had fireplace, large bunk beds for kids. Outside jacuzzi was awesome.

Overall we had a wonderful time at this cabin. James was very nice and always responded quickly to any inquiry. The cabin was walking distance to the Trolly red line which takes you to the village! Walgreens, 7-12, and other restaurants are also walking distance. My only two suggestion are 1) that the description be updated as only the master had a tv, the kitchen did not have a blender (which caused a bit of a headache for us but we found one at CVS and had to buy it) and the only toiletries there were hand soap, dish soap, and enough trash bags, toilet paper, and paper towels for maybe a day. We never really expect that stuff to be provided so we took plenty of those things beforehand, just a tip for future guest. 2) all mattresses squeak ALOT and are not very comfortable, they all have definitely seen better days! As stated in the beginning, the stay overall was great and I would absolutely recommend this listing!

The property is in a great area, walking distance to a couple of good restaurants and shops to buy stuff, Snow summit is a short hike. The village is a 5 minute drive and the lake is close. The cabin is spacious, and has enough room for multiple families. The yard is fully fenced and large enough for big dogs. The hot tub is well maintained. My only complaints would be the lack of toiletries: no shampoo/ conditioner, no dish soap but that was probably listed somewhere. The BBQ was extremely unclean with accumulated grease and debris on the bottom, unsafe to cook on.

Such a beautiful home everything about it was amazing to the rooms and backyard it was close to the slopes, markets a perfect peaceful place to go and get away from the city!! My mother and disable brother haven’t been out since my father passed away and it’s what they needed to get away!! Would definitely stay here again!!!

House was as described and pictured in the listing. It is really close and walkable distance to Snow Summit. Pet friendly and nice fenced backyard area for the dogs. It could have been a little cleaner on the inside. There was a lot of dust, so they may want to mention that to their cleaning crew. Very nice stay and would book again. Thank you!

Hey guys - overall this is a solid property great location in Big Bear near Summit Rd - spacious, fireplace, hot tub, carport, stand out location...But there is a LOT the VRBO posting for this Homeaway rental is lacking. Rather than add flourish, here is the exchange with the Coldwell Bank rep who manages this property from today, the day of our family's check out:
James at Coldwell/Homeaway: "The owner has added a new charge to your recent stay for damage or incidentals. This payment will be applied to your credit card within 3-5 business days. Dog poop not picked up. The rules clearly state dog pool has to be picked up. Sorry"
My reply: "Hi James, not a problem! Also I just realized I forgot to snap the hot tub cover back on.
I had cleaned up the poop earlier in our stay, but completely forgot to do a second sweep before we left. Please note there is a real reason for this. Rushing out for the extremely early check out time, dealing with the unacceptable check out rules that were not included with the VRBO posting (only posted on the fridge) it just passed me by to do a second check of the clean up before leaving. In addition, my sister in law broke her ankle while we were up there. As her mother did not end up joining us on the trip, I was the only adult dealing with pretty much everything before leaving, so it was not intentional.
I will pay the charge because you are right, I did see that charge posted on the fridge. That charge was also Not listed in the vrbo posting but that’s ok. Meaning, I was not provided all of the information regarding the requirements for our stay during the reservation process.
The place was fine enough to stay at, but no way in heck am I going to the local dump for any place I stay in. I don’t work for vrbo or your company."
This was only one of the insane requirements - you take all your trash with you and go to the local dump at the end of your stay. I liked Big Bear, but for this reason alone, Tahoe kicks Big Bear's ass.
At least you can be informed before you go.
BTW - ending your stay at the town dump was only one of the several nutty surprise "refrigerator rules" for this cabin. They're lucky they are so close to the slopes, I figure they assume people will put up with anything for that.

We have an annual tradition to celebrate the new year up in big bear. This is our first time staying at this rental and we were all very happy with our stay. The place was nice and cozy! There were a total of 4 adults, one child and one dog and it was a good amount of room where we didn’t feel cramped. Everything is on one level which made it easy to navigate. The parking has a roof so we didn’t have to worry about getting snowed in, or too much snow on the car which is helpful since we had a truck. There is a backyard and front yard with a good amount of space to build snowman, play in the snow, and build a small ramp for some sledding. House if fully furnished, just make sure to bring extra paper towels, wood for the fireplace, and trash bags (and toilet paper if you’re picky about the kind).
James was great and responded to our messages quickly. Check in and check out were a breeze and the trash disposal is right down the street. 7-Eleven is walking distance and it’s super close to the summit.
Only con is during the weekday early morning like around 5am the plow comes through and the trolly bringing the ppl up the hill is very loud.
For the house, the doors can use some TLC since they’re hard to close/lock.
Otherwise we truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much!

Had a wonderful stay. The location was great, close to everything, walking distance to everywhere, especially the shuttle that takes us to the ski resort. The hot tub was amazing, especially after hitting the slopes. The house was clean, spacious very comfy, and had all I needed couldn't ask for anything more. Will definitely come back.

We absolutely loved this home. It is walking distance to snow summit which was great because we didn’t have to deal with parking. The house was very homey with wood beams and nice furniture. Plenary of space and all the essentials. The large hot tub was great for a soak after playing in the snow. The heater and fireplace kept us nice and warm. Loved it and will definitely rent again.

Nice cabin that fit my family comfortably. Excellent location 3 mins away from stores, Starbucks and eateries. The beds are a little noisy when moving around but I would book this cabin again.
