Situated in Avon, this attractive house for $225 per night is a great option for your next trip. Newly renovated three-bedroom, two-bathroom, Hatteras cottage located on the Soundside. Cottage is located in a quiet area within easy walking or biking distance to the beach, restaurants, and grocery store. All bedrooms have new beds – 1 queen and 2 full. Sunroom has a comfortable futon. High-speed Wi-Fi. Two flat screens TVs (one 55” HD flat screen), Blu-Ray and DVD players. Blu-Ray player connects to Netflix and your Amazon account. The cottage does not have commercial TV. Large modern kitchen with all new appliances including washer and dryer. Two decks with Adirondack chairs and lounge, and large outdoor shower on upper deck. Private grilling area in the cool area under the house with chairs, gas, and charcoal grills. Beach cart for hauling cooler or other supplies to the beach. Very nice children’s playground 3-minute walk. Towels and linens are provided. Cottage can accommodate up to six. Pets considered. Parties or events are not permitted.

This home was a perfect family and pet friendly stay close to the Avon Pier and multiple great dining options. The house is cozy and inviting and hosts a fantasic outdoor grilling and lounging area with hammocks. The neighborhood is quiet and very bike friendly on the roads and the sidewalk/bike paths with a playground nearby. We loved driving on the off road beach during the day and would complete the short bike ride back over for beach strolls in the evening.

We loved this property. Well stocked, very clean. Enough room for the family to spread out. S great place to rest after beach time. A short drive to amazing beaches and everything Avon has to offer. Highly recommended.

Our family of 5 had an amazing week in this beach house! The location was perfect, walking distance to one of the best beaches we visited in the outer banks (Avon beach) and also shopping and restaurants. We also walked to the sound side and bought shrimp and oysters that were caught that day! The house itself was perfect, the pictures don’t do it justice. The kids loved the family room and we spent evenings watching the sunset on the two decks. The kitchen was well stocked and spacious. The outdoor shower was amazing and perfect for keeping sand out of the beach house. Also, the beach cart was super handy and we used it every day! We will definitely have another family vacation here soon.

The house was very clean and the layout of the 3 bedrooms and 2 baths worked well for our group of 6. The living room couch and chairs are very well worn. The kitchen was well supplied with utensils and cookware. My biggest complaint is that the microwave oven did not work. I informed the manager about the microwave, but the week of our stay went by with no replacement or repair.

We had such a great trip to the OBX. We loved the small town feel of Avon, and the house was perfect for our needs. The owner was quick to respond when I contacted him and the stay went without any issues. The outdoor shower was a huge help when coming back to the house so sandy from our days at the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook our food for the week. The kids loved riding their bikes to the playground just up the road and I loved taking my morning runs through the town. I would definitely recommend this property for a relaxing stay in the Outerbanks!

House itself was nice. It was kinda clean except for all the stuff that was in the refrigerator and cabinets left over from im guessing the owners. Furniture is old, falling apart and filthy. Beds were firm. Outside is nice but mosquito haven. Owner or housekeeper stayed downstairs the night before I checked out.

Had a great week at this house! Property was clean, kitchen was stocked with everything that’s needed, and the location was in the middle of everything Avon has to offer. Looking forward to staying here again the next time we’re visiting!

Overall this was a nice place to stay, well-kept with a nice kitchen. We never received check out instructions though (other than a time) even after messaging. Also when we arrived there was a house rules sheet letting us know that the owner may be there at the owner's suite underneath the house (but not connected to the rental space). We didnt care but I dont recall that being in the listing info and someone else may care so I just wanted to mention it. Overall it was a good place though, in a convenient location.

Had a nice stay at Jay’s place over Easter weekend. The house was spotless and clean, which we really appreciated. The weather wasn’t great so we took advantage of games and activities which there were plenty of in the house. The layout was perfect for us as we were traveling with teenagers and dogs, and everyone was able to have their own spaces, the neighborhood was pretty quiet. Location was good a short drive into town or to the beaches, although you could technically walk or bike if you wanted. Only recommendation would be a few small upgrades to the showerheads and maybe furniture however, we are not picky and did just fine. We really utilized the kitchen a lot and did a lot of cooking while we were there overall a great stay at Jay’s house. Thank you!

Jay's house was probably the cleanest vacation rental my husband and I have stayed in. Pictures do not do this house justice. The location was absolutely perfect! Neighborhood was lovely, which made for perfect walks with our dog. We will definitely be booking here again in the future!

The vacation rental was good. I wish there would have been more towels for 3 nights. Checkout time is 9:00 am which was a problem for us, especially when you have a sick kid. Plenty of room in the house. Loved the outdoor seating and hammocks. Not too far of a walk to the pier. But overall we absolutely loved Avon! We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at the property. The whole experience was great from the initial booking to the stay. We really liked the property and the location and it fit our needs perfectly. The house was clean and neat and had many amenities that we appreciated all at a good price. The transaction and the communication with the owner was second to none. If we decide to return to OBX we will certainly make this our first choice again. This property and the owner are highly recommended by me and my family.

The cottage provides a bright and welcoming space with room for both privacy and gathering. The beach at Avon is one of the best in the Outer Banks. We had a great time!

The property was in a good location and it was in really good condition! Loved the outdoor shower!! Everything was in working order. Close enough to most things we did and not too far away from others. The house had everything we needed and more. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. It was really nice to have linens and towels provided. I can't think of anything else we needed. I would stay again. Jay was a wonderful host.

Loved this spot. House was very clean and the colors throughout were pleasant. My son loved the massive bean bag seat and we all thought the outdoor shower ( used to get rid of as much sand as possible) was ingenious. Very pleased that the area isn't an overly commercialized beach town.

Perfect place to relax with kids. A little too far to walk with a tween, 3 small kids, and beach gear/cooler for us. However, we preferred to drive out on the OTV beaches, anyway. Close to coffee, breakfast, restaurants, and grocery. Host was super welcoming and communicative. Would stay here again.
