Lovely Victorian/Edwardian villa in a quite street on the edge of Shanklin. Very adjacent to spectacular cliff top views and walks.
This is hard answer fairly as personal aspects come into play. My wife and me are elderly and found the distance from central Shanklin, with no car, somewhat challenging. For those younger this would be much less of a distraction.

Location and all on one level, because I can’t walk up and down stairs without pain. Very charming place at first
When we arrived, I noticed that there was smeared grease on the hob, the sheets smelt of previous guests. No pillow protectors, so my pillow really smelt unpleasant. Also checked what the kitchen had as it was self catering. We had bought eggs and bacon. We didn’t buy foil, so I didn’t want to use the grill and then realised that there was no frying pan. So I had to send my husband out to buy degreaser spray, febreeze antibacterial fabric spray and a frying pan. We were meant to bring the pan home but forgot it so your next guests are welcome.
TV in lounge worked for three days then the picture was just scrambled.
As the days went on I just started to see more and more dirt especially on the bathroom door, brown hair hanging off the non slip mat for the shower.stains on the carpet in the bedroom etc
The sink in the bathroom was so small you couldn’t wash your face as well as you could with a decent sink. Which was also dirty. No bag in the bathroom bin provided. I would say say the whole place needs a revamp or have a professional clean top to bottom. The final night I started getting a sore throat. When we stripped the top sheet off the bed it was disgusting, stains everywhere. Didn’t take photos but wish I had
