The hostel was clean. Apart from that, the bed linen in the capsule was clean, and the mattress was comfortable. The lighting was good. Having a lockable locker in the room was also a great feature. Being right in the center, it offered excellent access to everywhere. I really liked it and would definitely recommend it.
The check-in process was just a bit slow.

All the activities that are available are a great contribution and make the price of the room truly worth it ! The tours are nice with a lot of information and the different activities are a great way to connect and unwind after a day of visit !
I especially recommend Ash and Zander with their introduction to traditionnal Ceilidh dancing ! We had a great time and lots of fun !
Insonorisation of the corridor doors could be improved upon and lead to a bit of a noisy night, but they do provide with earbuds and sleep masks.
The semi transparent restroom (for double bedroom) also isn't the greatest.

Very welcoming and helpful staff and guests mostly very respectful, particularly important in a mixed dorm. Remarkably clean considering the amount of guests day after day. Proximity to Waverly station and central location in Edinburgh a plus.
Pod in courtroom was difficult to sleep in due to various noises on top of the usual guests coming and going, lockers/doors etc, including regular banging sounds as if building work was happening in the small hours, and music from presumably another pod at 5/6. All during the "quiet hours" which meant very little. Can't complain for such a cheap room.
Also phone charger in pod wasn't working but staff were helpful.
