Breakfast very good, staff obliging & cheerful
A wonderfully maintained modernist hotel from 1935 (the year of the Ga-Pa Winter Olympics). Lots of nice paintings and very comfortable beds. It might not appeal to instagram people but so much the better.

I love this hotel and have stayed here many times. The location is perfect in the heart of Garmisch. The breakfast is one of the best I have seen in many hotels.

The location is great, just a short walk from the train station.
The hotel is very expensive for what it offers. The 1-person rooms are smaller than they seem on the picture and the bed is really small and uncomfortable. Staff also wasn't very friendly and gave me wrong information about the spa opening times which ended in my not being able to use it ( from "it's open all day" to "yes but only turned on from 4-9pm"), while it was the main reason for booking this hotel. Breakfast was fine except the whole place was infested with wasps.
