location, location, location! Close to everywhere that I wanted to visit, easy access by metro and bus, a peaceful and cozy residential neighborhood - Retiro - like an oasis, far enough from the touristic hassle, a heartfelt neighborhood feeling, like home! The staff was very friendly.
There was a construction - a lot & lot dust and noise. That was not mentioned at booking, I may not have preferred to stay. They tried to compensate this by moving me to an inner-court facing room, that was quiet. But it was too dark and dull. There is not much of a comfortable common area like lounge. For limited time it is bearable, but with all this dark mood in the room, I could not find a spot where I can work / study / socialize. The hotel looked like more modern from pics, but it is a bit heavy inside the room and with such dark inner-court scenery. So it was a tradeoff between noisy and dark stay.

Very clean, friendly staff.
Food was terrible and expensive. Not many options, limited English. Staff in gym were rude and unhelpful. Vending machines didn’t work. Pool was very cold
