Location was very central and staff were very welcoming. They also helped with queries about the area and any issues we had.
The bed sheets were not clean, and had dried stains in a few places. We had to ask for another to replace them with and we had to replace them ourselves too.

There is a good breakfast. Although they could improve the coffee makers to the last generation of Nespresso, which I just found in any small hotel in Brazil, for instance. Air conditioning worked fine, which is rare in Spain, and absolutely required in Madrid under 37 celsius!
This 'minor' NH hotels seems to capitalize on the good reputation of NH en general, notably the top of their line 'Collection'. However one expects better from this hotel: the reception is awkwardly placed in the minimum space of circulation between elevators, entrance (which if you are carrying a heavy luggage, is three steps down). There is a lift, but it really seems too complicated for someone arriving from a long trip on train and impatient to get to the room!. The rooms corridors are disappointing with a very ugly fire protecting door between elevators and them. I noticed, while walking in the wrong direction on my floor, a 'cul de sac' door with awful chipping paint, which immediately translates as an obvious lack of management. This was an underwhelming NH experience, and probably for me the last one!
