It was a nice surprise to get a balcony looking down the street on Ambleside right in the centre of town!

The facilities in our Lodge were brilliant. The jacuzzi, sauna and steam in our bathroom worked perfectly and the hotel was really nice and central
It was difficult to book in the restaurant. It was £19 for a coffee and a glass of wine and the parking was tricky

Hotel is in a great location and facilities are very good. Staff were very attentive and helpful, breakfast was good with a wide selection available. Still enjoyed our stay and would definately go back there again.
Dinner was four star not five and expected a little better to be honest. Room seemed a little dated but could of been as we were in the atic.

The pool and gym facilities were very good.
Single rooms at the front of the hotel are generally clean and tidy, and the views are great from the balcony.
Double rooms with hot tub are immaculate, and very well presented.
Breakfast was very nice, with lots of continental options to choose from.
Parking was good, and available before check-in.
Some rooms are very expensive for what they are.
Single rooms out the front are a little tired, and the bathroom is tiny,
Food was nice (albeit a little expensive for what you get in some cases)
