Relaxed, rustic and romantic, the hotel was a delightful stay for us. The room ws beautifully decorated with a wonderful chance to have a muscle-relaxing soak in the bath.The food was delicious and we were delighted to have a dog-free restaurant area. to eat in.
We booked a room at The Ambleside Inn as "pet- free" and were messaged to say that our pet free room had been sorted.We were told that this meant that pets had not been in our room. After our stay, a member of staff at The Inn told us that "pet free" was defined as : "visitors not staying in the room with a pet". The member of staff told us that all rooms at The Ambleside Inn were all dog-friendly and we were, consequently, very unhappy to learn that we had stayed in a room, which had housed a pet in previously. Hoteliers need to understand that many visitors do not want to stay in rooms , which have had pets in for numerous hygiene reasons. This should be taken seriously and offered in all Inn collections as a choice for customers. We do live in an all-inclusive ( pet-free visitors included) society now!
Secondly, we uploaded the app and tried to get our points when we paid £12 for our drinks but we were too late . We were told to scan before payment.
