The hotel was nicely located to the Cotswold towns and villages that we wanted to visit. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The bar and restaurant food was good. Staff very friendly.

Breakfast was very good. Good choice of cereal, some fruit and some pastries. The hot food was excellent. A great choice for this accommodation.
The bed was a bit lumpy and slightly uncomfortable. It would benefit from a mattress topper . Also the bathroom lacked storage space, with only one small shelf. And the bath/shower would benefit from a grab rail and a non slip Matt .

We've been a few times before. Rooms are nice. It's a nice old style coach house. Quite traditional inside.
The food in the past has always been rather exceptional which is why we stay here. But not quite as good this time round. Ordered a heritage beetroot salad as a starter and there was no finesse just a lot of chopped beetroot plopped on a plate. No care taken in presentation and wasn't very exceptional either. I had the belly of pork one night and it was OK but previously it has been divine. The fat rendered really down and some nice tasty crackling from this out side. This was fatty.
