Great location and really good food on site

It’s a gorgeous 1400’s building right in the heart of burford Main Street, the rooms are so charming and the bed especially is so comfortable! Lots of storage, and a lovely shower and bathroom, small, but that’s a given and wasn’t an issue - soft robes provided
Staff very nice and guided us to our room as the hotel can be a little tricky to navigate - we were right at the top in ‘girl’
Lovely pantry room available 24/7 with extra tea bags, coffee pods, milk, water and even home made treats - if you need to top up your in room tea bags or coffee pots. Coffee machine was provided as well as a glass bottle of water
Tv had access to all channels and online streaming including fire stick, Disney and Netflix!
Breakfast was lovely in the tapas restaurant downstairs, and they kindly left us a free drink voucher for staying for a birthday
It will always be a given but parking isn’t the easiest because it’s on street parking and especially busy on a weekend but after a few laps round a local car park, we got a spot
Would have enjoyed a mini fridge in the room to keep the water and our own goods cool, and makes it a little easier to not have to go to the pantry in your pyjamas when you forget you need to go and grab milk - but not a big deal
Bit of noise from the streets but it is a given again for location and they did try to add another window shutter
Room can also be quite warm
Only one side of the bed had an outlet to be able to plug in devices
Would be nice to have an iron in the room available, and perhaps even a phone to reception as it’s quite a trek down to reception
Given the price of the hotel, a free little biscuit or a bag of crisps would be nice as a treat, instead of for a fee, but this is me being super picky

Room was comfortable and spacious
With no hotel parking and restrictions on roadside parking this did meaning having to move the car which can mean not being close to the hotel

Delicious breakfast, albeit a little confusing being given a menu with prices, on a bed and breakfast rate. Good location; we were lucky finding a free parking spot opposite the hotel (apparently outside the hotel is only free for 2 hours. No obvious signage to say that). Staff on arrival, were very helpful and gave information about the hotel timings; we were given a key to the front door, as staff leave the hotel around 11pm. There were two fans provided in the room.
Room was very dimly lit and dark; no plug socket next to both sides of the bed for charging phones; rainfall shower soaked the floor in the bathroom; the window was broken in our room 'Wish' and it was noisy, from the traffic outside. There was one small hanging rail, which was directly above the coffee/ tea trolley, so no good for any long items and there were no drawers or wardrobe in the room, so any longer a stay, would have been frustrating.
