The hotel is located on the hill just a few mins from the lake and then it's a 15 mins walk to the centre. We got the top floor room with a huge terrace and beautiful views which was by far the highlight. If you stay there, make sure you are on the terrace at dusk as hundreds of huge bats fly and it's a magnificent sight. The room itself is large and the bed was comfy. The staff were super friendly and we had a lovely conversation with them. The breakfast was ok but basic.
We were fine with it but be aware that there's no lift. Also the room is in need of a refresh but it was find for a couple of nights. But I would stay again because of the gorgeous terrace and the lovely hotel staff.

The property was more dated than the photos represent. However we had a lovely stay. I think people’s enjoyment of the property will depend on which room you end up with. Our room was lovely however our friends room was definitely of a lower standard.
The inconsistency of the room quality and at the time, the villa was surrounded by a very large road reconstruction site. Made getting to and from villa a challenge and very muddy.

The owners are absolutely delightful. They are warm and friendly and their home prepared breakfast was fabulous.
It’s in a really good location for walking along the lake into Kandy centre.
It’s not a ‘villa’ and the room facilities (eg towels) are tired and need a refresh.
