Pleasant

The location was great. Every day we left in the morning and got back to take a shower and sleep, and for this purpose it was 100% enough.

The room wasn't cleaned during the time we were there (6 nights), so by the end of the week the floor was pretty dirty. Also the toilet was smelly and we didn't like that.

Very clean and great location, very close to lots of attractions including Sao Jorge Castle. Wifi was very good for us. We arrived after 10pm so had to check in via the hotel across the street but staff were very helpful for the check in process. We didn't get breakfast here but lots of nice restaurants/cafes within 5 mins walk. Very close to the old style tram stop and a hilly 10 min walk to the Metro.

We were disappointed that the aircon was not working when we arrived and the lack of communication from the staff around this. A decent fan was provided for us with a promise that the aircon would be fixed during our stay, however this did not occur. The room was much smaller than expected from the photos. Very noisy street outside and from the tram going by under the window.

It was June and there was the party on the road so until midnight it was extremely noisy and it smelled a lot from the BBQs

Superb

lovely and clean, in a very central location around 5 minute walk up from the tram. This is up hill so may be hard with a suitcase but we only had a duffel bag each. staff really nice and felt safe.

Perfect location!

Amazing location to be able to explore the heart of the city and walk around. Nice staff who tried to help us as much as they could when we had issues.

The air conditioner didn’t work for two nights and outside was pretty warm but we couldn’t keep the windows opened because it was weekend and it was noisy during the night. The building has very thin walls and you can hear everything from other rooms. The toilet and shower are in a sort of closet which makes bad smell.

The location of the hotel was fantastic, right in the middle of the old town.

The room was very noisy, you could hear all of the other gests around walking and talking. Also the windows did not close properly, so you had all sorts of smells and noises coming from outside. Also very difficult to control te temperature with this situation.

The room was ridiculously small, shower did not close, faucet did not reach far enough into the sink, so water went everywhere. Room was consistently dirty despite daily cleaning. Towels were not exchanged in 5 days... The air conditioner did not produce cool air. The balcony on our floor interconnected all of the rooms, so security was definitely compromised. Room was overpriced for being a glorified flophouse.

Dissapointing stay

Location was good Modern hotel, Portuguese style. Room was of good size, shower was great and bed comfortable. Nice balcony, overlooking street. Breakfast was continental style and of good quality

Staff were absent, not there when we arrived and didn’t answer phone. Cleaner let 3 groups of us in and contacted them. Generally poor communication. The front of house/ managers are located in hotel across the road and we only found this out by watching them come across rather than being told that. No information given about Lisbon and maps of where we were. Air con didn’t work the whole stay, so didn’t sleep as door had to be open and traffic noise was considerable all night. If door could have been closed might have been different. I received 20% discount for inconvenience, but I had to push for this. Clothes storage inadequate, five hangers and no drawers. space could be used to provide storage options, had to live out of suitcase.

Excellent location personal were very helpful.

The personnel were helpful when we requested a room change. The breakfast was good.

I should have been informed that this property had no manned reception. I received a mail asking for my time of arrival, I wasted my time and energy in replying to this mail. It would have been easier if I was informed that I could have checked in at the property across the street, The rooms are beginning to show signs of wear and tear not all of the facilities were in working order the property urgently needs a makeover.

bathroom was tiny in a cupboard which made it hard for us to get around without hitting our elbows. door was a little broken so never opened fully which was awkward. shower door didn’t close properly which flooded the bathroom

Great location in historic district

Excellent location and staff were very friendly and held our luggage for the day before and after check in/out.

Small room and stairs to climb with luggage but we knew this.

Such lovely people, in a lovely location.

Location, staff, nice atmosphere. My friend had an accident and had to go to hospital. The staff went above themselves to help me with everything and to check out and store luggage while I sorted things out.

My room was a little bit disappointing (my friend's was good). I did not have a chair (she had two), and my bathroom was a bit scruffy (again my friend had a lovely bathroom). I am not sure that my room lived up to the 'superior' rating.

The location was good such as the decoration of the room.

No equipment at all, the room was more than tiny but we knew that, the bathroom was smaller than a closet with a door of a closet, even the TV was there but there was not a controller in the room. Also the bathroom has no ventilation at all (as an engineer it was my first time seeing such a thing) and the cleaning was not satisfying, they didn't even refilled the shampoo for two days straight! The room looks neglected, the bathroom has rust in every metal equipment, there are damp stains. No professionalism at all, especially for that cost.

Comfy bed and lovely staff. Air con worked well.

Not the best accommodation for those sensitive to noise or wanting privacy. The floorboards are very creaky and any movement in the corridor or from rooms above echo in the rooms. The bathroom doors were two swinging saloon doors which didn't provide much privacy when going to the toilet and they opened up to the street which made it awkward when moving from the shower. There was a giant step in the middle of the room which made it difficult for two suitcases to be open at once.

Horrible experience. Would not recommend to anyone. First of all, after 10 message exchanges and precision of the time of arrival, no one was in the place to greet us after long day of exhausting trip. After numberous trials to reach someone on the phones, with all put heavy luggage we were directed to go to another hotel just to tell one more time that we would like to enter our accommodation. Finally, after hustling our luggages to the 4th floor we entered in a tiny cube room, dark and sad.First impression not amazing but what happened after looking into the room, went completely out of any hygienic standards: balls of dark stranger hair in the shower (which was not cleaned for ages, stains and disgusting everything), unknown liquid stains on the walls and more hair under the bed sheets-as much DNA of a stranger that a new baby could be made out of it. Flush of the toilet not working well. Shower as well as the sink bouchone. Speechless about the pillow cases-as yellow as... The lady working there was not willing to propose any compromise, neither apologize for such inconvenience. Price and quality ratio off the grid. Disaster
