The whole experience of staying at the Wheatsheaf Inn was highly positive

Staff were very welcoming and polite and the hot breakfast served in the mornings was of the highest quality.

Very friendly and homely stay, bed comfortable along with quality towels Breakfast was lovely and the restaurant for dinners was excellent. Really enjoyed our stay.

Could do with a better fan for cooling in bedroom as no air conditioning.

Really relaxed stay in a beautiful well appointed room with fantastic food .

It was a lovely room dinner was great but recommend booking ,room was really comfortable excellent shower and facilities.

Parking was difficult only a small car park though there was room at the front .

Lovely stay despite a little hiccup about the heat in the room, way too warm!

Love, love, love the decoration. The room is very well decorated and stylish. The bed was comfy and I love the amenity provided. Bathroom products smelled lovely. Staff are very nice and accommodating. It was a busy evening and morning at the restaurant but they tried their best to assist. I had a very lovely dinner and breakfast. There were decent choices of breakfast for you to pick.

The room still smell of paint and it was pretty toasting in May even with the window open. I talked to a member of staff and was informed it is due to hot water pipe in the room. He offered me a fan but there was already one in the room, on with full speed but that didn't help much. The picture of room category on booking was a little misleading. I tried to book for a room with a bath tub but ended up having none; but perhaps that was just me being confused. Other than that, the room was just like in the pictures.

The whole break. Staff very friendly and attentive, room very comfortable and meals delicious

Perhaps a bit more clothes storage in the room we had. We had an enclosed shower, but there was also a bath in an area outside the bathroom which could have been better utilised for an additional wardrobe

Avoid room no.5 at all costs

Location in a quiet village. Pub has a nice beer garden.

Impersonal attitude of most staff apart from one young man on arrival at reception. Overcharging for drinks at dinner time. Deliberate or accidental?? Very small bedroom. Noisy fans directly under bedroom window where kitchen is situated. Room was very stuffy due to inability to open windows because of the noise. The management clearly aware of this as there were two portable fans in bedroom Tea/coffee machines dangerously perched on small ledge. Poor preparation of food at breakfast which was overcooked. Request for a digital invoice not carried out. £195 for bed and breakfast in a 'cosy double' is excessive even by Cotswolds standards.

very clean, food was great and great location to commute to places from.

our room was situated on the ground floor next to the kitchen, kitchen staff were very noisy at night sometimes up until 11pm.

Perfect getaway

The staff were so welcoming from the moment we walked in. I booked this place very last minute for a one night getaway with my partner and it was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere, the rooms, the food everything was exceptional. Will definitely be returning!

Can’t fault anything about this place.

Classic Cotswold stay

Beautiful property with great character, good location, dressed well for the occasion as we stayed for Christmas.

Parking not great, no proper area for check in and was bundles into a small eating area which felt intrusive to diners.

Great staff and location - room was not to standard

The service of the staff was excellent. We were able to check in before we attended a wedding in the area. The breakfast was high quality. Hot shower in the morning. Perfect location for Stone Barn in Upper Windrush - only 10 minutes down the road. Bed was comfortable and the pillows were well suited. Plenty of parking. This is clearly a popular local pub, the bar was busy all night.

We were in room 3. The room was very small for the price. There was a king size bed that took up most of the room and a small TV on the wall. The shower room was also very small with handwashing in the bedroom area. There is a church nearby and the bells go off every 15 minutes all night so we didn't have a good sleep. The carpet was quite dirty, chips in the basin and some mould in the shower on the tiles.

Lovely pub, worth a visit

The staff on the B&B side were very friendly. The food in the pub was really good. The room was very clean. The toiletries smelt lovely. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Our dog was made very welcome with a doggy welcome pack, bed and water bowl. We were also gifted a bottle of British sparkling wine to help celebrate a birthday which was a sweet touch. The pub is in a great location and has a really nice terraced garden, Northleach is a nice village and you are close to Burton on the Water and The Slaughters and the surrounding Cotswolds.

There seemed to be some confusion around what room we were meant to be in when we arrived which wasn't the most welcoming - my wife even questioned if I'd booked the right pub! The room was not as luxurious as I was hoping having booked the deluxe room with premium price tag. The room was small, no desk, no storage for clothes, no full length mirror and no light over the sink. The TV was a smart TV but wasn't able to be connected to the WiFi to watch netflix etc. Also there was bare filler on the wall which hadn't been painted. All of these small things left me feeling a bit disappointed, however overall we had a good stay.

Fabulous staff..eaxh and every one of them..really can't thank them enough for how well they treated us. We loved our stay, the room was great,service excellent and location was superb. Its also dog friendly which is a real plus. We'll definitely be staying again very soon and looking forward to it already!
