We had a lovely stay at Trevi Palace Hotel overall. The location is excellent, within walking distance of Rome’s main attractions, and the surrounding neighbourhood is pleasant and charming.
The staff were wonderful — the reception team were always friendly, welcoming, helpful, and happy to assist with anything we needed. The housekeeping was also outstanding. Our room was thoroughly cleaned every day, and we really appreciated the attention to detail. The bed and pillows were comfortable, too.
When booking through Booking.com, the photos showed a bathtub situated in the bedroom, next to the bed, creating a romantic atmosphere ideal for couples. Unfortunately, our room had a shower cabin in its place, which was quite unexpected and, to be honest, rather strange. The bathroom itself was perfectly fine, but the additional shower cabin inside the bedroom was not what we had expected based on the photos.
The room also felt rather basic and lacked a cosy, inviting atmosphere. The tiled floors and limited furnishings made it feel quite bare, and there was very little storage space for our luggage and belongings. There were no wardrobes or proper cupboards, just a single clothes rack, which was not very practical.
Another issue was the noise. We had read several reviews describing the hotel as quiet, with rooms overlooking a peaceful side street. Unfortunately, our room faced the main road, and the traffic noise was very loud, even with the windows closed. Perhaps we were unlucky with our room, but I would recommend requesting one facing a quieter street.

We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but what we saw of it looked like there was plenty of choice

The location was excellent. The staff was very warm and super helpful with everything from dinner reservations, directions, as well as getting a taxi early in the morning. The room was quiet, good AC, and also had a lovely terrace. It was great.
The room was a little small but totally acceptable for our needs.

Location was excellent
My closet was bigger than the room. The laminate on the bathroom cabinet was peeling big time and my side of the sheet was stain.
