Nestled in Destin, this lovely condo for $98 per night is a great choice for your next break. Pelican Beach Resort 1409 Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!' The level of comfort is second to none in this high-rise condo located in Pelican Beach Resort. The spacious couch and luxurious furnishings will make you feel right at home, while the kitchen has everything you need to cook up a big meal after your Destin adventures. There's room for a small group to utilize this as 'home base' when enjoying all of what Henderson Beach has to offer. Enjoy a great local breakfast at The Pancakery, which is a short walk from the condo. If cooking is your fancy, pick up some fresh seafood at Blalock Seafood & Specialty Store, or dine out at Mellow Mushroom. Don't forget to check out Big Kahuna's Water & Adventure Park, where you can test out your surfing skills. THINGS TO KNOW Beach service is available for rent from March 31st to August 1st. These setups may block the view of the beach from your vacation rental. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle. This rental is located on floor 20. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

I have stayed at pelican beach several times. Hence why I opted to stay there again. It has always been a pleasant experience, until this time. The unit was abysmal. There was one rusty chair out on the balcony, the furniture in the pictures online did not match what was in the unit. the cabinets were peeling. The general condition of the place was uncared for. The furniture looked like something out of a garage sale. Very disappointed will never stay here again literally, false advertising.

We love the location and 3 pools. The beach service option was great but we needed info on this before arriving as they sold out each day. The master bed was wrapped in heavy duty plastic that was loud and uncomfortable. Twin beds were great addition but uncomfortable & noisy, which meant one of our children slept on the couch. Curtains were broken and there was no toilet paper holder in the master bedroom. We still enjoyed getting to be on the beach but some care is needed on the interior.

The view by far was exceptional . However the furnishings need to be updated. The bed needs to have the plastic taken off of the mattress and would probably make it sleep better. The couch has seen its better days and should be replaced. A comfortable chair would be nice in the living room. It was also very clean.we overlooked these things and had a good time. The location was great.

Room was horrible not at all how it was listed! The furniture was old, walls scratched up, TV’s did not work, mattress had an old plastic cover that crinkled and crunched at slightest move! We will never stay in that unit again!

READ ALL THE REVIEWS FOR THIS UNIT.
You will see the same complaints over and over going back a couple of years with nothing being done to improve things. Vacasa responds to every complaint with the same generic message.
If I would have read the reviews, I would have NEVER blown my money on it.
I can use only 1500 words on here, so bear with me.
Check in was a nightmare. Code provided did not work. Had to call Vacasa as we stood in the sweltering sun with all our luggage. We got a code at 4:25 meaning we lost money on the unit
because of the time lost over the debacle.
Had to call twice to resolve code issues.
The unit is WAY out of date. A ripoff for the price. The pics on the website are a lie. On the balcony, only one rusty chair and a rusty table. Bulbs were blown throughout the unit. There is not a sofa and chair as pictured, only one, lumpy sofa, so if there are more than 2 people, someone is sitting on the dingy, brown carpet.
The master bed had a thick plastic cover and the fitted sheet did not fit leaving you sleeping on hot plastic. The handicapped parking is a half mile away from the entrance, so beware if you have someone with mobility issues. The bedroom TV remote doesnt work, so you're stuck with one channel. I'm not able to list everything on here because youre limited to 1500 words.
Do yourself a favor and scroll on by this unit or expect EXTREME discomfort.

We were schedule to arrive at 4 pm and was unable to get in because the code did not work. We didn’t get in until 4:25pm. We then walked in to a smell that was unbearable. The dishwasher was clogged. The tv did not work. The appearance was nothing like the online pictures. Horrible!

The stay was okay. We received a text that we were able to check in and when we got to the room the door was open, about 10 mins later the maintenance man just barged in. It was very outdated, the light in the bedroom was very delayed it took a minimum of 10 seconds to actually turn on, there was old food left under the tv stand. We will stay at the resort again but not this room.

Toilet was clogged, terrible odor in condo, half of the electrical plugs didn’t work, and the condo staff would not help us because we didn’t book with them

I have pics to show how dirty things were and moldy! The pics don’t do it’s justice it’s just such and old outdated place for what they charge they need to remodel it! Beat thing about it was location and balcony view. I wouldn’t waste your money if you are looking for anything nicer.

Extremely outdated unit! The unit needs a complete remodel job. When I pay a premium rate to stay, I expect a high quality unit. All mattresses were in very poor condition. The tv didn’t work in the bedroom. The atmosphere felt pretty gross. It would have been nice to have felt a little pampered. Too pricey for what you get. Disappointing, really. Only one chair on the balcony. The ocean was cool though.

Beautiful view, nice layout of interior. Well-stocked kitchen accessories, towels, blankets, etc. Appreciated the beach chairs in closet, as one of the two chairs on balcony was broken; rust all over exterior of fridge, black areas on ceilings near vents (don't know if it was soot or mold), living room furniture not comfortable at all. Rust all around exterior of 2nd bathroom shower on chrome; shag rugs in living room and bedroom felt sticky underfoot. Other family members stayed at property in another unit which was spotless and very much updated. Our opinion = not quite worth the amount of money charged for the week.

The kitchen and bathrooms are not updated, however, they were very clean, which is all we needed. The refrigerator kept our groceries and sodas very cold, the air conditioning was excellent, water pressure adequate and the living room was very comfortable. The appliances were cleaned and in working order. The utensils and dishes were plentiful and clean as well.
If the owners wanted to make necessary improvements for my booking & return they would make sure there are "2" chairs on the balcony. There is only one which is not helpful for a couple to sit out there together. That was very disappointing. The master bedroom King size bed mattress was adequate size but NOT comfortable at all. It felt like a semi-air mattress and it had a plastic waterproof mattress cover on it (under the bedsheets) which felt like I was sleeping on a "Hefty" bag. That was the worst part of my stay. The unit could use a Keurig machine for easier and cleaner coffee use. We did not want to use the old coffee pot as not sure if the water reservoir is cleaned regularly. The Tephlon frying pan was old and scratched and needs replacement. No one wants Tephlon flecks in their morning eggs. The white mental chairs at the kitchen counter are not the proper height. They are too short and mismeasured. They have "counter" size chairs at the kitchen countertop but should have "bar stool" chairs there instead. Makes a big difference when eating or talking at the counter while making food or cooking.
Overall, we did enjoy our stay, but would not return mainly due to the uncomfortable master bedroom bed, no Keurig and not adequate balcony seating. If changes/upgrades are made in the future let me know.
