Location was perfect. Very impressive building
A bit miffed at having to pay £2 each extra for breakfast as we had not pre booked.
Someone was being interviewed for a job near the reception area and anyone passing could hear. Felt for the young girl not having interview in private.

Room was comfortable and location was pleasant.

Pool and steam room/sauna facilities were good. Loved the Tunnocks Scottie. Fridge and brew stuff in room was good
Lack of choice in restaurant for meals. No menu to see until seated. Food was not what we expected from a Michelin star chef, thought it would be better. Bar staff in lounge told us we needed to be seated to have our drinks order taken then nobody came to take it. After half an hour's wait we gave up and left. Sadly the grandeur of the front facade was not in keeping with the rest of the hotel grounds. Rear car park was a dumping ground for out of use metal cupboards and other items not in use.
