They gave a room upgrade which was gratefully received. Plenty of parking available and the restaurant provided good quality food at a reasonable cost.

Staff were really friendly and accommodating. They were happy to help and always available. Evening meals in the restaurant were really delicious. The heating worked well.
The property is generally very run down. Windows in our room didn’t fit the frame and it was very dirty which given the storm and weather warning didn’t make for a comfortable night. Although being twin beds, they were very narrow. The shower doors didn’t meet and the shower itself was broken so that the head didn’t stay up. The wardrobe doors were not on their rails properly so it made it exceptionally difficult to close. There is a draft comes down the corridor in high winds so we had to wedge a chair behind the door of the room to try to make it stay closed without rattling. The breakfast was very only fashioned in presentation, everything being kept warm with hot plates/casserole dishes, but food was nice. The tea and coffee area was rather dirty with milk splashes staining the walls. If the place was given a good modernisation and tidy up it would be lovely, there were just too many negatives given it is £150 a night- had it been £80, I would have felt you got what you paid for.
