Our 2nd stay at the hotel due to location. Decoration in main areas is lovely. Perfect location for Pollock Halls /Newington part of Edinburgh. Lovely products in the bathroom, nice shower.
For the price you would expect a mirror in the room. Had to bring the hand held mirror out of the bathroom to use to dry my hair over the coffee station (no dressing table) The standard rooms are fairly small. Breakfast waitresses pleasant but not very informed. My husband asked for a bacon sandwich - waitress said not possible. So we suggested she replace the avocado on toast with some bacon and added most toast. Which she did. My porridge with rhubarb was virtually tasteless and ‘soggy’ (very disappointing for Scotland)

Super service from the staff, that at checkin, catched that we were celebreating a birthday and sent some a card with greetings and a litle extra to the room.
Cleaning was great and the standard of the room as well.
Loved the feeling of the place and liked that is was not 100% in the old parts. Found a lovley place for a sunday roast and a pub for watching fotball.
Close to the Holyrood park with great
