The rooms were spotless, and I liked the ease of check in.
I didn't realise it was only a continental breakfast and you couldn't order a hot meal.

This is a lovely boutique hotel, that has a warm welcoming feel to it. Its gorgeous. Staff were lovely. There is small attention to details in the furnishings and common areas. We stayed here twice. The fees were excessive, but apparently this is the case all through Edinburgh due to the festival.
As guests staying twice over a week, we felt the charges for minding luggage were excessive.
The rooms are small and our first room facing the main street was open and enjoyable to watch the city from the window. The second stay was in another room which felt a little claustrophobic and we didn't enjoy it as much.
Think this suits small luggage, weekend travellers. We had larger cases due to the long length of travel.

No lift but we knew that. Toiletries were very basic, no tissues, showercap etc although we probably could have asked for them and received with a smile
