Accommodation ok

Our bar meal was fine, breakfast was good, duty manager during breakfast very friendly and accommodating. Room was ok.

The guy who was the front of house manager when we arrived after a long journey. Not helpful, vague with some details to say the least. Dismissive, not really interested when we spoke to him. The manager the following morning at breakfast was the complete opposite.

A lovely stay in a lovely hotel

The whole experience was really really good. The accommodation went beyond my expectations, it was clean and fresh the food was lovely and breakfast bountiful. The staff were lovely, helpful and polite.

Room was a little too hot for us but i blame myself because i could have turned the radiator down but didn't realise until the morning, certainly not a reflection on the lovely hotel

The best stay in years. .!

The Royal has an idyllic location, a real hidden gem. Service and Food exceptional! Room and decor lovely. Very clean throughout with superb attention to detail . ! Would give this warm homely hotel a definite 10 out of 10 and we been on scores of hotel breaks over the years! !

The only slight criticism I will mention is the bed in room 8 was not the most comfortable but did not detract from our fantastic stay. .

Absolutely exceptional hotel

Alasdair and all his team were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Small attention to lovely details made this hotel one of the best I've ever stayed in. Brilliant!

10/10 we will definitely stay again

Fantastic location. Fantastic staff. The food was amazing,we had an evening meal & breakfast. The room was lovely & everywhere was very clean. One of the nicest properties we’ve ever stayed in,would highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel. Attentive staff and simply perfect.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable, the room spacious and decorated to a high standard. Everything was just perfect in this lovely area. Will definitely return.

Quality was very good, food was excellent evening staff very friendly morning chaps not quite so. price was a bit high for pub accommodation but worth it. very handy for the IofM ferry

Wish it had been longer loved every minute.

The friendliest of all the staff. I asked for walk in Shower and we were given disabled room. Shower was great. Had evening meal and breakfast. Both very enjoyable

Everything! Stay here on our way to the TT. Nothing to fault. It’s a perfect location. Staff really friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed. Lovely shower and great food and beer!!

lovely as usual

We love the Royal, we stay here often as they have dog friendly rooms. The staff our exceptionally helpful and friendly .It really is a pleasant fun place to stay.

Our room was a tad small for us and our large dog this time. however it was a busy time of year. also the dinner menu could do with a change although the food is good.

Very good

Very clean. Lovely bathroom and shower. Lovely views of Morecombe Bay a short walk from Royal Heysham. Breakfast is excellent.

Tap water in bottle left in room for us to use. It would have been better with filtered water.

Staff excellent, most helpful. Lovely stay.

Sound proofing between Room 1 & 2 virtually non existent. The lady in there gave it 100db on her phone, until after 20:00hrs

Great country hotel/ Pub. Good Car Park. Good Bar menu wide choice of food on offer. Good breakfast menu and food cooked to order. Good selection of Beers and Wines. Bedrooms clean with all the basic needs. Good outside area. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic/brilliant

Breakfast evening meals absolutely brilliant well done to the chefs….Alisdair the manager very hands on very attentive talks to quests have a laugh and joke, keep up the fantastic job you are doing.. the staff always helpful. Defo will be going back Well done to everyone who works at the royal

1 night stay before catching the ferry to IOM. Great location!

Room very comfortable and quiet. Food was good.

We asked at lunchtime about booking a table for our evening meal and was told there was no need as it was a quiet period. Come the evening no tables available in the dining room or bar, however to their credit the staff did eventually sort us out with a meal in an adjoining room.

Everything, and we will go there again.

The only thing we didn't like. Was we couldn't book a table for dinner. We had our dog staying with us. And you have to go into the bar. And it's first come first served! And we couldn't get a table when we went down. That was the only disappointment!

Thanks go to Alisdair and his team for making our stay wonderful. Special mention to Nicole and Marcus for the great service behind and in front of the bar. Great location to explore the surrounding area and walk into Morecombe and back. Very dog friendly pub with great food and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Great service, extra touches ie fresh milk, good variety on hospitality tray, toiletries, extra orange etc at breakfast

The heat in the bedroom was a bit overwhelming but a fan was provided so we used thst in the morning

Our second stay and didn’t disappoint! Staff always welcoming and friendly, room and facilities are excellent and spotle

Welcoming staff and atmosphere. Fab location. Lovely clean room, great facilities and breakfast second to none!

Nothing not to like! But would perhaps like a bit more meat-free choice on menu. Maybe offer veg version of your sausage and mash as you have the sausage in for breakfast?

Superb

We had booked bed and breakfast. We arrived quite late and the restaurant was very busy. However, the manager was able to fit us in for dinner, which was very much appreciated. The young woman who waited our table was extremely pleasant and very helpful.
