Beautifully restored historic building with a unique setting in Birgu.
Spacious, comfortable room with a great view (especially if you upgrade to a corner room).
Quiet location that feels removed from the crowds.
Attractive rooftop pool with beautiful harbor views.
Good base if you're looking for a slower, more relaxed stay.
While the property photographs beautifully, it didn't feel like the luxury boutique experience I expected. The lobby and arrival experience felt underwhelming, and service was inconsistent. We had to request extra bottled water multiple times instead of it being proactively stocked, and there was very little poolside service or ambiance. The biggest downside for us was the location. Birgu is charming, but it's very quiet, and we found ourselves taking the ferry or a taxi every day to get to Valletta for restaurants and nightlife. If you enjoy being in the middle of the action, I'd recommend staying in Valletta instead.

Nice location, beautiful building with nice atmosphere, friendly staff
rather expensive versus what you are getting (can not be considered a 5 star hotel) no power outlets in the bathroom, terras was facing big airco's (misrepresented on the pictures); boring breakfast (no buffet, you can pick 5 items from a menu, which is the same every day). The last day I was offered a toast salmon with a rotten piece in it. When confronted with this, I was simply asked if I wanted anything else without any proper apology or explanation. As a final cherry on top they charged us for minibar usage double after we already checked out
