Excellent

L'accueil vraiment top, le personnel super gentil et disponible. Nous avons logé dans une des cabanes, petites mais super charmante. L'implication dans l'eco-responsabilité est vraiment très présente. La grande cuisine très pratique et bien équipée.

Un peu loin du centre de holboch, pas de vélo disponible lors de notre séjour.

Me encanto que mi mascota (perrita) pudo estar libre y explotando en todas las instalaciones y el personal y los huéspedes eran muy amigables y agradables.

En días de lluvias fuertes, es un poco complicado llegar al hotel porque todas las calles se inundan. Sin embargo hay taxis que te llevan desde el centro (costó entre $200-$350) o puedes caminar por la playa para llegar a cualquier punto (de 30 a 1 hora caminando a paso normal)

grosse déception

les peintures et décorations sont sympa

j'ai réservé une cabana qui devait être avec salle de bain privative et non, elle était tout minuscule, avec des déchets du client précédant et un trou dans le toit où la pluie passait. Le ventilateur ultra bruyant, la rue uktra bruyante avec les golf car (prenez vos bouchon d'oreilles), pas de cadenas pour la chambre. Le lieu est tout ouvert et non sécurisé, si vous venez avec votre chien il sera donc totalement en liberté et possiblement aller sur les chemins et routes. Après avoir fait la réservation en ligne et payé donc j'ai appris que pas de check in après 19h, super j'étais dans le bateau j'ai du donc appeler pour négocier un check in plus tardif et surtout j'ai appris qu'il n'y avait pas de wifi !! Il n'y a que 2 toilettes et 4 douches à partager pour tout le monde. Bref pour 600 pesos, c'est une grosse déception. Les vélo sont à 180p pour 24h mais il y a tant d'eau (a saison des pluies commence à peine) que de toute façon vous pourrez rouler facilement. De l'embarcadaire au Balam, compter 100p en taxi-voiture de golf, sinon 25 min de marche.

Beautiful wilderness on the quiet side of the island.

Far away from town so it’s very quiet and you can see the stars

There’s no fan inside the tents, unlike other campsites

The volunteers were all from the same country and not very inclusive with the guests

Really good island, feel connected to the nature but sadly too expensive to stay longer

Really nice staff, nice outdoor to chill during the day and nice beach 2 minutes away.

The Center with the supermarket and animation places was faraway.

Superb

The campsite was beautiful and my little bungalow had all I needed for the night. There was a great vibe and the staff were very friendly and helpful, I felt really welcome. I was only on Holbox for one night but loved it so much that I will be going back and will stay at Balam Camping again!

Our stay was everything we wanted and everything we expected.

It was everything I was looking for, a quiet and beautiful spot, close enough to the beach which was still keeping and maintaining the idea of ecotourism

It was too hot inside the tends, maybe some kind of ventilation on the design would really help to keep the space a bit more airy.

Had a weird feeling of this camp that is a bit fake with their “talk to each other” signs.

Location, bathrooms were free when needed

Dirty mattresses and mosquito nets, doors of the cabana doesn’t close entierly. There was a sign “we don’t have wifi, talk to each other” but the staff was haging on their phones all the time. We booked a trip at the reception, one peron got sick and they didn’t get us full refound even though the tour guy say that they return everything.

Cary open, not crowded and friendly place. it’s far away from town, which is great because you can see the stars at night. the staff and guests were very friendly.

the tents didn’t have a fan inside. there are other campsites in Holbox that do have this (and they’re not any more expensive either) some people complained about having to “crawl through bushes” to get to their tent. ignore those people. at most you had to dodge a low hanging palm branch, and I’m not sure what you’re doing camping if you’re complaining about having to dodge a very slightly in the way branch. I heard that in the rainy season this place becomes Venice (water up to your ankles throughout the property) this would be an issue, but didn’t happen on my stay luckily.

Nice camping and friendly atmoshere, away from busy beach and Holbox centre, pleasure sleep in nature and listen birds in the morning. Also, close to nice beach:)

Chilled out vibes near the beach

The staff were friendly, the gardens are cool with lots of chill areas. Cheapest 2 bedroom hut in Holbox. Great location in the quieter area of the island. The hummingbirds in the garden early morning were a treat

Showers were the worst, a trickle of water. Generally the whole site needs some updating and tlc, it’s a bit tired.

A friendly camping, a bit far from everything

Very friendly camping to chill.

The confort is basic with no electricity/ light on the evening, 25min walk to the center and 10min to a restaurant. A bit far from everything with basic equipments (sanitary, bungalows...).

Very good

The atmosphere of the camp is nice. It's a place to stay if you need a company and you feel like exchanging your travelling adventures. You will be surrunded by nature there, which is a great plus. We were prepared to be attacked by mosquitos but to our astnishment there were just a few. It'svery convinient that you can rent a bike there.

Unfortunately, the linen, at least ours, wasn't made of natural fabric and it sticks to your body when it's hot at night. And it isn't that peaceful and quiet at night as we had expected (a lot of taxis going for bioilluminencance passing nearby).

Not worth the money

Wildlife, plenty of birds and lizards around. Staff were helpful and cheerful Free water

Location is a long way from town and taxis are around 10 to 15 euro and its a dark walk. Overpriced accomodation for what you get over 30 euro per night and not even a towel supplied. Basic facilities, and lack of maintaince locks on windows broken. Square fan on the floor which has no shelf or table to put it on so pretty much useless blowing at floor level. Most nights no toilet paper in toilets. Bed very small for 2 people under a mozzie net. Most expensive accomodation in 7 months of travel, for least comfort.

Vibes and kind people

The vibes of the place and how easy it is to meet people. The staff is incredible. Gino made everything possible to make our stay a real blast. You do not find many hosts like him around!

Mosquitos. Be prepared with lots of repellent. The camp is 15 min walking from the center. Not a problem for us but be aware if you are lazy

Cozy and clean eco camping

Cozy camping with a lot of self-made facilities. The staff is very nice, they offer bike rental and the Cabanas were comfortable. A lot of hammocks.

Cold showers weren’t great, but manageable. And it’s all about expectations really. This is an eco camping, not a gllamping ;)

The all staff is great. Gino was able to tell us a bit about the history of the camping. Stayed in a cabana so a bit more comfortable than tents. No wifi and poor electricity but that's why you're coming to a camping after all.

Not close to the ferry station. Walkable but in the early morning to avoid the heat. Hiring a taxi is pricey but better for some.

Great vibe and very friendly, no WiFi so people have to talk to each other. Cabana was very comfortable

Definitely worth a stay when it hasn’t rained in a while. People and the area are beautiful!!

The staff and volunteers were really helpfull and made the stay fun. The location was close to beach and all the nature in the area of camping was beautiful.

We had a bad luck that the streets were flooded while we were at the camping. Because of that sleeping at the tents was really humid and we had to wade our way to the beaches.

It's all about people

- Super friendly and funny staff - it was very clean - there is a fire place set every morning and evening - great venue to chill on the hammock in the little jungle - there is a spot to workout - U can order a delicious breakfast, massage and do yoga on the beach - it's quiet spot, close to the beach and Punta coco

- it's a little jungle so mosquitos are killing you day & night - there is no hot water - it's quite far from the center
