We really enjoyed our stay at Donna Camilla. Our room was not in the "main" section, but was clean comfortable and quiet. It also had a small quiet courtyard that was great for a private evening cocktail. We had a fabulous breakfast in the garden each morning, there is a wonderful high end restaurant that served us a 7 course Italian meal pared with wines. It was fantastic. There is also a rooftop terrace that overlooks the city and great for cocktails and photos. Overall, this place was great. If your looking for something different than the typical hotel experience, this is for you. The staff was attentive, polite and just plain nice. It is not the best "bargain" you will find, but worth it in our opinion. Both my wife and I just loved the place. It's a former convent and a couple of the nuns are still living there!!! It made us feel a little closer to heaven...
Nothing really. I had read some reviews prior with people complaining that the felt like "second class citizens" because they had booked through bookings.com, so I was a bit skeptical upon arrival. But I did not experience this. Mattia and all his colleagues were very attentive. They were able to get our room ready a couple hours early as we were getting tired in the early afternoon. I was also getting emails to upgrade to a nicer room etc as we had a "standard" room. But, although not in the main building, the room was as advertised, clean, quiet, modern amenities, and just perfect. If you plan be be out everyday anyway, what difference does a "garden view" make?

The entire experience. The courtyard for breakfast and meals was thoroughly enjoyable. The Contempo restaurant brings an amazing level of culinary service and satisfaction.
