Amazing retro style hotel in a beautiful environment. With absolutely gorgeous breakfast selection, a variety of food and service. Enjoyed spacious room, beautiful view over the countryside and lake. And very nice bar which all you can meet. With small things from the retro past. Around the hotel. Reminding you of a legacy. But still very functional. And nice stay.

La situation au bord d'un lac (gelé) à 730md'altitude et surtout proche( 7km) du site de l'étape de coupe du monde de biathlon à Nove Mesto na Morave
Peu de choses, si ce n'est que le bâtiment construit en 1974 qui se veut de classe internationale est un peu vieillot...

Velmi oceňuji péči o to, aby hotel připomínal časy dávno minulé, ale v jeho renovované verzi, čistotě a klidu lesa. Pokoj byl čistý, pěkný a koupelna jako nová. Nejlepší na tom všem však byla vířivka na střeše, prakticky v korunách stromů s neuvěřitelným výhledem -> prostě neopakovatelné a ojedinělé. Rozhodně doporučuji zažít!

I liked that the hotel room was just like it had been in the 80s. (Not much could have changed except the bathroom and the toilet that seemed to be renovated recently...:D) I checked it on the hotel's own website that you can reserve a room with "retro" styling ..for some extra money! :D
+ The neighbourhood is very nice: pine woods and hills all around ..not to forget the lake (Medlovka) the hotel picks its name from. And all this you can enjoy from the balcony of your room! :)
+ You can have a good coffee at the bar! :)
- The walls are too thin - if you happen to have loud neighbours (just like me) you can only dream of peace and quiet.
- There's only two electric sockets on the wall.
- The breakfast (which was included in the price) was alright but you'd better skip that something they call a coffee in the restaurant... :/
- The so-called buffet dinner (that i pre-paid for) was something to forget - it was basically pasta either with sweet or salty(?) dressing... :U
I found it weird that we all had to use the same fork or spoon to take the pasta or the dressing onto our plates. During COVID-times it is not the best idea... :((
