An Oasis in the heart of Heraklion

The uniqueness of this property made it such a pleasure and experience to stay in so different to a hotel which are basically the same. Location excellent close to everything particularly the taverna around the corner. Manos the owner was so helpful and welcoming. The Roof terrace is such a lovely relaxing space for a coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.

Quickly apartment on the edge of the old town

Location was good; not too far from the city center in a reasonably quiet street. Parking wasn’t too difficult in the streets. Quirky little apartment with a lovely rooftop garden

The bedroom is located upstairs via narrow circular stairs. If you need to get up to use the bathroom at night (we didn’t) it’s a bit of a hike down to the bathroom The water cut out one evening due to overheated water pump. Manos responded to our request for help within 1/2 hour of our notifying him which was great.

we loved our stay and loved the proximity to all that Iraklion has to offer

quirky, great position and terrific host. very rustic which we liked . good information from Manos

would not suit mobility impaired or those that don’t like a genuine very historic quirky environment.

I really liked everything and would definitely visit again and recommend!

Very cozy and unique apartment! A real Greek experience! The apartment with a very interesting construction was homely and comfortable! The city center, taverna, shop and parking lot are all very close! Really nice terrace with flowers on the second floor for morning coffee! Very friendly and nice owner with a warm welcome! Recommend!

Liked everything! Maybe the fact that the bed linen had a very strong smell of washing powder and the airplanes could be heard quite well, but despite that I still liked everything very much!

Well placed apartment for visiting Heraklios, with a wonderful great terrace / balcony.

House, comfortable and beautiful inside decoration. With several floors, linked by a spiral / nail stair (for old people, may be difficult access) : first floor: hall / main room, kitchen, bathroom, second level: bedroom (with a comfortable bed), balcony / terrace. With a wonderful great terrace / balcony. Well placed for visiting the important places in central Heraklios city. Owner very kind and polite.

Lovely, authentic home away from home

Very helpful, friendly host. Very convenient location close to the old town, shops, restaurants. Super cosy, nicely decorated home with a fantastic roof top terrace.

Superb

The apartment is big and cozy. It's situated in a very central location, close to the main square. Manos is a wonderful host and will provide you with every piece of information on the city you may need.

The stairs leading to the bedroom which is located on the first floor. Climbing them may be a bit difficult, especially at night. Otherwise everything was perfect!

Superb

Great apartment, massive space for an apartment. Big living room with tv, wifi, sofa, desk and chair, fully equiped kitchen and bathroom. On the first floor - accessable by spiral staircase, a bedroom and a nice sunny terrace. Manos, the friendly host, gave us some great tips for eating and seeing the city. Very happy to stay here again

I found this a most charming and real, authentic place to stay

The location was superb. It is the oldest neighborhood in the city center, within easy walking distance of museums, restaurants, and seashore. Manos, the owner, is a charming and intelligent man, who has created a lovely renovation of an old house, with a splendid roof garden which catches the ocean breezes.

Great Apartment with lots of character

This apartment has a lot of character and a beautiful, sunny terrace upstairs for enjoying your morning coffee. Manos is very helpful and gave us several suggestions of restaurants, things to do, etc.

Parking is definitely hard to find if you don't want to pay, but there's a "Robotic Parking" garage around the corner that costs 5 euros/day. If you need to use the bathroom in the night, keep in mind that you need to go down an outside spiral staircase.

Delightful home with a green sanctuary as a balcony

The house and Manos were charming and welcoming to the start of our trip in Crete. The house is incredibly clean, well stocked kitchen and bookshelf, with a balcony that will make you feel at ease. The bed was very comfortable and living area is warm and cosy. You even get some friendly neighbourhood cats!

There were a few mosquitoes as the mesh had some gaps.

Very charming apartment

Manos, the host, is super friendly, very welcoming and caring. His apartment is very beautiful and fully equipped. It’s a perfect base for exploring the city and we highly recommend to try out Manos tips for restaurants. We checked out two places he recommended and they have been a 5/5!

We loved our stay: clean, comfortable, fully equipped and well located

The place was lovely and equipped with everything we needed: from cooking facilities to a sun-kissed terrace surrounded by beautiful plants. Easy access to the city, the house is only a few steps away to all its amenities, including numerous cafes, shops, historical highlights and the stunning archeological museum.

Pleasant

Our host,who was there to welcome us, was very friendly and heplful throughout our stay. The house as a lot of caractere and a beautiful terrasse on the roof with lots of plants that smells very nice. Finally, it's located to a walking distance to everything in Heraklion. and there are easy parking and concenients stores close by.

Quite expensive for what it is. It's a very rustic house: very interesting look whit thick stoned walls but all the facilities: kitchen, bathroom are very old also. It would have been hard to use the stove and the washing machine that are not up to date. The beding sheets and towels are hard like paper. And the house is located on a very small road in front of houses in demolition. Lets say that it's quite a shoc when you arrive but you get used to it and appreciate it in the long term. But it,s not for the fancy travellers.

Unique accommodation in a great location

Manos was such a wonderful host! He takes pride in his country, city, and accommodation, and it really shows. The terrace is lovely and we spent many evenings drinking wine and admiring Manos' lovely flowers and vegetation.
