Needs a facelift

Beautiful location overlooking a lovely golf course

It’s tired - from simple things like the failing balcony door bolts to the hard pressed staff unable to offer breakfast after 1000, when breakfast is advertised as available to 1000. The hotel is set up to cater for Golf Society events - that’s fine when they are on the course - However, the smell of sweat at around 1800 was overwhelming.

Hotel in beautiful surroundings

Beautiful surroundings, comfortable bed, friendly staff. I couldn't find porridge in breakfast, but when asked one of the staff members, they made it for me in the kitchen.

Very noisy outside the room during the night, no pancakes in breakfast. It was beautiful weather and it would have been lovely if there were gardens to walk around. Overall quite expensive for 1 night stay...

Not the birthday treat that I thought I had booked for my partner.

Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good.

Very disappointed with restaurant. Thought a hotel with the Hilton branding would be able to provide something better than pub grub. Stayed at a Hand Picked hotel two years ago for £50 less for one night in twin room inc great breakfast and experienced fine dining at dinner in amazing surroundings. This Hilton wasn't much better than a Premier Inn and at almost double the price.

Vale la pena se siete amanti del golf, altrimenti ci sono strutture locali più caratteristiche e migliori.

Sorge in mezzo a un bellissimo golf e parco. Bella struttura, sebbene un po’ datata. Staff gentile e molto disponibile.

Camere pulite ma davvero vecchie. Manca il frigo bar e il lavandino ha due rubinetti: uno dell’acqua calda e uno separato dell’acqua fredda, rendendo impossibile il mix dell’acqua. Mai visto una cosa simile. Manca l’aria condizionata ma eravamo stati avvisati di questo.

Quiet, pleasant hotel in the countryside outside Tewkesbury

Spacious room with lovely views. Very peaceful. Reception staff were lovely. Parking was really easy.

Duvet very thin - I was cold and couldn't find a blanket or extra cover. Some biscuits with the tea and coffee making facilities would have been appreciated.

Unfortunately the hotel experience is not what it was which is disappointing!

Breakfasts were excellent with both level of choice and quality. Accommodation/rooms are still well presented and spacious including the bathrooms.

Restaurant menu is essentially pub food quality not much better. Same menu in the bar as restaurant, no distinction. Wine list overpriced to go with effectively pub food which is disappointing. We have been coming to the Puckrup Hall Hotel for over 25 years and to find that the restaurant is now serving up a bar menu consisting of 'make your own pizzas', various burgers and curries along with expensive steaks in the restaurant suggests a dumbing down for guests who have come for a spot of luxury or at least something a little bit different or special to what they find in their local pub at home. I think it is also very disapooinitng and frustrating to find that guests now have to pay £5 (per visit) to use the swimming pool and Spa facilities. Why? These facilities have always been part of the experience. It is even less appealing to find that the small pool has 25 people (albeit at a popular time) in it which made it very crowded and everyone was just standing around unable to move let alone swim 5 metres!!

Very nice for a stopover - breakfast top notch

Breakfast was excellent - amazing spread, so much choice and really good quality fayre Room was good - clean and comfortable. Location is lovely, but didn't like being told we weren't allowed to go anywhere unless golfing

Restaurant/bar menu was very limited. What we chose was very nice, just would have been nice to have a bit more choice Drinks quite expensive

It was ok Gloucester was nice

The grounds , swimming pool and spa (both heated).

The quality of food and thought more would be in the room I.e dressing gowns , slippers and access to Netflix

Good stay in Cotswolds

The surrounding was very pretty and the breakfast was elaborate.

The club booking for the pool was additional and was not based on time, we booked in the evening for a day but couldn't use it next day.

Location and exterior and downstairs is nice, picturesque golf course.

Not worth the price

The breakfast was fab great selection choice ... No complaints...

The bedroom furniture was really dated... Side lamps didn't work.. Mattress was noisy uncomfortable springs. You can hear people above you using toilet... Expecting a better standard for the brand... £165 for 2 people for 1 night room was not worth that. Plus you have to pay extra to use the swimming pool.

Brilliant hotel, great staff, maybe go back when the spar area is refurbished. Brill Staff!

Dinner in the bar was quite late for us due to using the spar facilities so we were probably some of the last customers for cooked food but, it was absolutely excellent, fresh, quick and tasty. The staff were excellent, nothing was too much.

The steam room was out of order and you needed a £1 coin for the lockers, we also had to pay and extra £5 each for robes from reception. The view from our room wasn't great but it was a budget room so can't complain, its yo be expected I guess.

Pleasant stay but would have been excellent if some additional activities for kids .

Lovely old building with lots of space. There is decent size indoor pool and hot tub, sauna etc but if it summer and busy it would be very cramped up. Kids get a welcome gift and hot chocolate vouchers which is nice gesture .

Felt it’s a bit far away to get to nearest town. The carpets are old and with stains etc. There should have been some activity esp on weekend nights like a live music or some games etc that would have made it more lively . It felt like so gloomy with people just coming and sitting to eat or in bar. It felt not much for people with young family as no other activities for kids ; it would be lovely if they can have a play area( indoor and outdoor) with some stuff.

Short and sweet stay on our trip south.

Lovely interior. Dinner was lovely but pricey. Spa was well maintained and had a diverse range of facilities. Very relaxing and the kids enjoyed it.

Additional fees for use of the pool/leisure facilities and £30 additional fee for one short haired dog for one night. Cob webs on the ceiling. Noise of banging and squealing from guests in the room upstairs was so bad I had to speak to the night manager as I was concerned. This went on for a considerable length of time.

Comfortable, warm and welcoming.

The room was spacious with comfortable bed. Lovely large towels. Quiet environment. Bar area was lovely with attentive staff. Food good, afternoon tea excellent.

Towel rail seemed to be not working. Toilet seat wobbly.

Disappointed

Breakfast was okay, plates were cold though.

The swimming pool was closed for a an aerobics class 5min after the reception sold me a swimming pass. Not happy at all. Charging guest to use the r pool so also a disgrace.

lovely but cant stay again due to no EV chargers

the team were nice and the location was perfect for work - nice building overall

its 2024 and you have zero EV chargers? Purely because of this, I cant stay again as I travel a lot and have an EV. Because I couldnt charge overnight, meant I had to stop on the journey home the next day and charge - its the Hilton - you just expect this as basics now, just like expecting wifi. The team tried to explain why you didnt have them like the location etc but come on lads, you are the Hilton, find a way!

We enjoyed an excellent meal in the restaurant and loved the swimming pool.

We had stayed here before, about a year ago, and I am afraid the cleanliness of the hotel had deteriorated. Underneath the beds in the room was filthy, and there was no water provided in the room, which was disappointing.

Great weekend break

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Best hotel breakfast we have ever had. Nice bar area with good food A great swimming pool and jacuzzi, also has a steam room and sauna all included in the room price. Good location 7 minutes to Tewkesbury

SHOCKING

Lady in reception was very welcoming checking us in

There was a huge power cut at night so when waking up we had nothing, no electricity, water, wifi, literally nothing. It was like 3rd world really, could not shower or use toilet, brush teeth, we could only use the bed in the dark. I paid £145 for the night (£30 for breakfast for 2 people) which we did not have as nothing worked. After leaving, the hotel refunded me £36 pounds for the inconvenience!!! Awful!!!
