Hotel and facilities were very good but only there one night so didn't make use of them. Evening meal was very nicely cooked and served swiftly. Staff were generally pleasant.
Unfortunately my wife's breakfast smoked salmon and scrambled egg was not good. Firstly the plate was returned to the kitchen because the scrambled egg was cold. When returned my wife tasted the egg and it wasn't right or nice and had to leave it. Very disappointed. I had a Scottish Breakfast which was ok but not great but so my breakfast didn't get cold I ate it before my wife's breakfast was finally served.

Overall, the facilities are wonderful although the cost of meals and drinks is rather expensive.
The superking bed should have been blissful...... Unfortunately, the mattress needed replacing and the noise of creaking springs every time my husband and I moved made it impossible to sleep. It is disappointing that in a hotel which seemingly provides everything it fails so miserably in providing a decent restful night.
