Needed a spruce up

Sea View and sound of the waves!! A comfortable bed and I slept without disturbance all night due to the nice thick walls and being on the top floor! The room and bedding was clean. It had hand wash and shower/hair wash in the shower. A good and functional TV and proximity to the bed! All of the staff I communicated with even briefly were respectful, helpful and professional in their approach. From, laundry staff to cleaning staff to reception staff. For these reasons I'll stay again. Proper temperature control and water flow in the shower.

I got the same room as last year. There are a few more coat hangers and the area around the door was sealed over yet still needs painting over! Attention to detail is needed!! The old toilet tissue box in the bathroom should be removed and a new toilet roll holder installed. The artex ceiling has been painted over in areas and not others and on entering the room there was a strong smell that made me sneeze. Possibly paint. Unfortunately the wallpaper is coming away from the wall in places. It needs attention to detail ! The old dining room chair in the bedroom needs replacing maybe with a new, simple modern and comfortable tub chair or arm chair. This would be ideal in the sea view room. The drawers should be replaced with new, simple and modern matching drawers. Some chips and marks make it look shabby. The visible material under the bed should be repaired so it isn't visible as it looks shabby and untidy. The photo online of the room looks much nicer than the room I stayed in. A small hairdryer in the room would have been appreciated or at least to be told that hairdryers, iron and ironing board are available should they be needed. Overall the hotel needs a lot of work! Thick carpets are difficult to maintain and keep clean..The lifts were temperamental (same as my last stay in 2025!) so the staff have put up notices for guests to avoid using them due to risk of guests getting stuck inside while moving. I think the hotel should put up a clear notice on their booking page giving an explanation about why the lifts are out of order or not in use because there may be guests with a variety of mobility issues, disability or with children and buggies. A hotel is expected to have functional lifts even if it's a one star hotel..!! This is essential!

A beautiful, spacious room with a fantastic sea view—the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on—highly recommended. The bathroom with a shower was flawless. 💪
