I stayed three nights whilst in the area on business on my own. It is more of a guest house than a hotel but none the worse for that. I had a room in the courtyard at the back of the main block (there are two parts to the hotel) and it was near perfect. It wasn't huge but was quiet and comfortable and had clearly been refurbished recently. They don't have a restaurant or bar but there are nice pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast is fun - the breakfast room is small so you need to be there dead at 8 pm if you want a table! I will happily stay here again. At £75 a night what's not to like?
No arm chair in the room and no bar - though nice pubs near by.

Had car park. Good size room with bath and separate shower.
No evening dining facility. However, pub over (the very busy) road did.

Excellent location with a great breakfast staff very friendly and welcoming
We had a problem with the shower in room and notified the staff who was very apologetic and they moved us to another room straight away

The room was clean to a high standard and it had good tea, coffee making facilities. The bathroom and shower facility was excellent! Breakfast selection was really good, based on a buffet style. Staff were generally quite friendly.
The windows in our sun-facing room could not be opened, and as the weather sas hot, the air became stuffy, and despite having a fan available, it made sleeping difficult! Breakfast food was removed quite early after arriving 5/10 mins before the last sitting, which was 9.45am! We werent offered a choice for anything further, as the food was quickly taken away. Staff started trying then on 3 occasions, to remove our plates, which we hadnt quite finished eating from! The dining room soon after, was then being hoovered, whilst we were finishing our breakfast and soon after, the staff came in and started eating their own breakfast before we'd even finished ours. This did not seem like very good manners and seemed a little disrespectful to guests!! On our second morning, we saw one staff member constantly looking at his watch, ready for the signal from his manager to start removing the buffet food, again far too early and with no options for guests to choose any further items! We felt quite pressured and rushed to finish our breakfast rather than relaxing into our morning! For what we paid to stay here, this part of our stay was not the best experience!
