The evening dinner was superb

Very comfy beds. Decent selection for free breakfast, tea, coffee and biscuits in the room.
Signs of mould on bathroom ceiling. Some areas needing more cleaning detail, I.e cobwebs hanging down, dirt on bathroom floor in corners. Breakfast has quite a limited period 08:00-09:30. We were hoping to out for the day early. There is an option to order a pack up from reception if you want earlier breakfast which is great but you have to by 8:30 pm which is unfortunately before we arrived. Maybe good to add this as an online order option in the booking reminder a few days before?

Brilliant place to stay - the staff were just brilliant so welcoming and helpful and the food was really good in the evening and breakfast was spot on - will definitely stay again!

Room had everything I needed. Bed was so comfortable. Good shower. Nice location. Breakfast lady very accommodating and tried to help as much as she could.
An alarm went off at 00.45.
Was turned off after a while but a second alarm started and went off all night. Tried to call 0 which apparently was for emergencies. Could not get through to anyone. Next morning obviously complained as I’d had no sleep. Others also complained as it went all night. Breakfast lady advised she would speak to the night manager Humphrey. When I got back later that day tried to speak to Humphrey to ensure it would not happen again but got shot down and basically told that it did not happen as he’d reset the alarm. When I tried to say a second alarm was going off all night he basically called me a liar. This was in the bar in front of other and he made me feel very uncomfortable as he got hostile and would not admit it happened, despite the breakfast lady having told him she’d had to turn an alarm off when she’d arrived at 7am.
I would have given this place 5 stars if it hadn’t have been for the way Humphrey had spoken to me. Extremely bad customer service and really lets this place down.
