You could not ask for a better location. Literally steps away from the entrance to the Prado and very close to Retiro park and Atocha train station.
Room was very basic. Bathroom was very small. Knees touched the sink on the toilet and elbows hit the walls in the shower! Bed was squeaky.

Location was excellent. Very basic accommodation but staff were helpful. We complained about the size of our double room after the first night. They moved us into a superior room for the second night at no extra cost. Cafe next door served a decent breakfast but only open till 2.30pm. Very close to Prada Museum and we walked to the train station with luggage.
Reserving a standard double room was not suitable, rooms are tiny. Looked nothing like the photos on the site. There's nowhere to put your case, bath badly chipped and decor very poor. Bathroom door didn't close. Bed wasn't comfortable. Overall our rating would be much lower if they hadn't given us a better room for the second night. Nowhere to get a hot drink onsite after 2.30pm.
